look wwaaaayyy too skinny to anyone else here?? She wasn't exactly overweight when she was in college and just starting on the National Team, but now all of a sudden she's stick thin. It's like she thinks that since she's a cover girl, she needs to be as skinny as the covergirl models.

Compared to that Khorkina gymnast girl, Logan Tom is fat. Compared to Logan Tom from college, she does look much skinnier, esp. in the arms. I was surprised how rail thin her arms looked today. I wondered how these things generated any kind of power. She looked tired to me, as well.

about logan's arms being rail thin, i remember kerri walsh has quite thin arms as well and she doesn't seem to have any problems hitting the ball down.
at first, i thought logan looked skinny too when i saw their matches from the grand prix. but she looked like she had a lot of energy there and does seem to be fit. with the training they did throughout the summer, logan's not the only one from the national team who has lost a bit of weight. and i guess considering she started on the team very young, the body changes have been more noticeable for her. compared to the other players on the team, logan's height to weight ratio is average.

As someone who has watched Logan play from club, to HS, to Stanford and now Team USA, I would say she's finally shed all her baby fat......she looks great!

The pictures I've seen of Logan lately that showed her legs made them look much less toned / muscular than they looked when I saw her playing here at Minnesota with Stanford during the NACWAA tournament a couple of years ago or at the 2001 Final Four in San Diego with Stanford.
It could just be the angle of the pictures I've seen, and people don't always look exactly the same in pictures as they do in person.

Well, the NBC camera people sure love Logan. She gets tons more face time than any other player.

I've known logan since we both went into college, and playing against her through college, and you got to remember that school and volleyball are very hard, not only on your body but mentally stressful too. She looks great and she is hitting the crap out of the ball. She just got in shape and hopefully she doesn't have that much stress on her shoulders anymore. Wieght issues are stress on too much if you doing the job well, then leave the poor girl alone.

after looking at the link i have come to a conclusion that her brother who is or was in the modeling business probably gave her some tips. who knows! as long as she doesn't pass out during a match

Her brother? I thought Landon Tom was a chemistry/physics major. Well, the NBC camera people sure love Logan. She gets tons more face time than any other player. Same thing in the coverage of the VolleyMasters and the World Cup last year, as well as the Grand Prix this year. She and Stacy get focused a lot. The commentator says they're charismatic players. >-(Gorf)-<[} link=board=general&thread=1092869192&start=6#0 date=1092897706]The pictures I've seen of Logan lately that showed her legs made them look much less toned / muscular than they looked when I saw her playing here at Minnesota with Stanford during the NACWAA tournament a couple of years ago or at the 2001 Final Four in San Diego with Stanford. I always thought a huge part of Tom's game came from her leg strength. Her movement and the way she covered the court. A friend pointed out that she seems quicker now though.
