As a left-side? It hasn't been a high priority for OH's to average 1.0+ bpg in the NCAA's... Oh, yeah. I forgot. Leftside players are excused from learning how to block in your system of volleyball. I know it's hard for your volleyball brain to comprehend, but there's alot more to blocking than what gets put up on the stat sheet.

Did HIttle play OPP or OH in high school? From the incoming freshmen: 1. Who hits the heavest ball (from what you know or witnessed)? 2. Who has the highest jump? 3. Who plays nails defense or pass nails? 4. Who has the best serve?

Who plays nails defense or pass nails? 4. Who has the best serve? I could be wrong, but this is what I gathered. Here's some answers to your questions: 1. That one kid - the one with the really big, man-sized hands and whose right shoulder is twice as big as her left shoulder. You know - the one that flattened out a Molten at practice last week. She still has problems with wrist snap, though, and alot of her hits are still ending up 12 bricks high on the back wall of the practice gym. 2. There's that other kid with the huge calves and the bubble butt. Man, can she jump! Still having armswing and timing problems once she gets up though. She went up and took a big 'ole swing yesterday in practice and completely missed the ball. It's okay though, the ball bounced off her head, over the net and past the block, and down for a dink-kill. I hear Shoji wants her to work on that particular attack, he says that's a money-in-the-bank shot. 3. That short kid playing defensive specialist. I hear she did a work-study this past summer in the construction industry. Did some carpentry work. Now she is totally "all nails" on the court. 4. I hear Coach Wade is developing a mean sidespin, half-jump, short-deep, jump lollipop.

Nalani Yama%*$#a was an awesome defensive specialist and probably one of the best of all-time. Hedder wasn't that bad either. No one is giving Melissa Villaroman enough credit either. She has done an awesome job the past two seasons as UH's libero. Everyone will see how great of a job she did now that she's gone because Hawai`i's defense won't be the same. Melissa Villaroman was one of the best defenders and passers to play for Hawai'i.

Melissa Villaroman was one of the best defenders and passers to play for Hawai'i. Nope, sorry. Villaroman isn't even fit to carry Nalani's jockstrap, if she wore one. Yama%*$#a was consensus first-team All-WAC, and also made Volleyball Magazine's All-America list. As a defensive specialist. Those accomplishments were remarkable considering that in 1996 the Libero position was still 6 years away from being implemented.

Hehe. I mean after Ms. Yamasahita, Melissa was one of the best defenders to play for the program. ;D Didn't say she was the best.

Hmmm.... Still looks the same to me. Weren't they updated all at the same time? Why haven't they updated the playing positions yet? And is Susie Boogaard really "Susie Boogaard Boogaard" which is what appears on her page?

Since I'm in the Philippines, it would be very expensive for me to call Mr. Yamamoto. Just wanted to know why the playing positions haven't been updated yet and why the final 2003 press release was never posted. I also wish there were Wahine wallpapers available for fans.

That's the best DS that UH ever had in my opinion.
