Is anyone going to the Nebraska practices?
I'd like to hear how Stalls and Pavan look, who is setting, where JS is playing, if Cook has made anyone cry yet, etc. etc.

Hey, what're friends for? Ya know, the REAL challenge IS losing a coherant argument with (R)uffda... well, the challenge besides having one with him. You my friend Gorf the Timerk, are another story!

The Huskers play the "Alumni" team on the 28th. I hope to have a complete "hair" report for you by the following Monday. After looking at the team photo's it would appear that straight & long hair is the style. So, a couple of the new recruits will have to re-think there hair before the season starts. Also, dark hair colors are in!!! Much of blonde hair is now gone.
(Hopefully Metcalf will be back for that match)
There you go Ruffda. I do know that Cook has already made you cry. ;D

The Huskers play the "Alumni" team on the 28th. It's been a few years since they've played the alumni hasn't it? I see from the schedule for the 28th that it's the Alumni at 5 pm followed by an intersquad match at 7 pm. Kind of a new format it think. I haven't been to any practices, but from various printed sources over the last week or so there has been indications that: 1) Busboom has a slight lead at setting because Lynch still has some limitations from her off season back surgery. 2) Houghtelling is being limited in practace - recovering from knee surgery - she did have surgery in the off season didn't she? 3) Stalls and Smith are "fighting" for the second MB spot. I saw (on tv) Meghan at the state high school all-star match a couple of weeks ago and they didn't seem to go to her too much nor did she appear to have a great match - can't really recall any outstanding blocks. They've also mentioned that Tracy had taken a month or so off from volleyball after over a year with the National Training Team, so it may take her a little while to find herself again. It appears that Elmer may be one of the few "locks" from last years starters. 4) Saleaumua "wants" to play OH not Libero but obviously will play wherever she can. Haven't heard anything on Reboltz's shoulder that bothered her quite abit last year. 5) Faustch is apparently putting up a good "battle" for the RS and that nothing is being handed to Pavan without her earning it. Sounds like we'll have excellent depth (Daaa!). Injuries or rather a lack there of will probably be key to the Huskers success this year.

Tracey has always had some crazy hair I thought. It's usually all over the place. That looks like her normal doo in that picture.

I think Alumni will play Alumni. On radio Cook said the are like 35 alum to play. If they play vs the Huskers, no one would get much playing time.
He also said a jersey will be retired that evening. I cannot imagine anyone beside Metcalf for that.
