I just check NBC's schedule for today, and the match between USA vs Russia is scheduled for prime time tonight. I wish the USA good luck especially that the match will shown in prime time for every one to see.
So do we have a chance against them?

Up to their old tricks again. I doubt they are showing it twice. Anyone know for sure when it is on?

Up to their old tricks again. I doubt they are showing it twice. Anyone know for sure when it is on? i think they had the US/DomRep match scheduled the same way - midday and latenight. i DVR'd the midday one and they showed most of the match. i missed the latenight showing though so i dont even know if they showed it then? screw NBC, i've started recording everything when i'm not at home just in case.

Is the 12:30 -4 slot on NBC itself or one of the other affiliated stations?

At least this time, I'm finally going to get to watch this. And I don't care if NBC flip-flops on their bloody schedule! TSN in Canada will be showing the match sometime between 7PM - 10PM EST (4PM - 7PM PST). Don't know who'll do the PBP for the Canadian Broadcast but right now, I'm just happy I'm finally going to get to see a match when it's supposed to be shown. Yay!

Let's hope they do better than the men did v. Russia. They were served off the court...

It's good that NBC deems women's volleyball worthy of primetime. Great opportunity to showcase the sport to America. However, we all know what happens when it has to compete with all the other events-- more swimming, track and field, diving, etc.-- plus the usual puff pieces and sob stories. The match will be sliced and diced to pieces and no one will feel the drama of the game's ebbs and flows. I wish they would just show it one of the ancillary channels. BRAVO and MSNBC have shown other countries' complete matches including some barn-burners.
