Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I'm just wondering who everyone thinks will be some of the teams (men and women) to watch this season on the FIVB Tour? After Fort Lauderdale, I would definitely say Agatha and Duda: it really looks like the next generation of Brazilian beach volleyball is determined to make a splash. Also, and this may seem to be out of left field, I would also say Poland's Monika Brzostek and Kinga Kołosińska. I saw a couple of their matches last year (including those in Rio) and was really impressed by the team. They really have a "never give up, we can do this" attitude that is awesome to watch.

I agree.....Agatha/ Duda.....They need to get over the hump against Larissa & Talita though...All German & Brazilain teams will be tough. USA Women & Men have some catching up to do before the World Championships.

The match between Agatha/Duda and Laboureur/Sude really demonstrated that. I would also point to Barbara and Fernanda on the Brazilian side. Although they aren't so much the "next generation", I felt they really showed that they could be a good contender going forward. Of course as you said, they need to beat Larissa and Talita to get that boost.

Italy really can't seem to catch a break lately: first, Orsi Toth gets caught for doping, and is suspended 4 years. As a result, Menegatti really loses out at Rio: never really a top contender anyway, yet definitely could have been a dark horse medalist, really has upped her game ever since London. Really unclear going forward though. Yet your definitely right: for the AVP, this is awesome news. Get some big names out on the east coast.

Man....Don't realize she was suspended for four years! wow 😳 Guess if she knowingly did it, the I guess its deserved. Never recover from something like that....NYC is a fun tourney. Did this one last year. Met April Ross for 1st time. Would like to go again this year. Have to wait and see!
Yes...I also thought Rome was a solid tourney....Too bad for FIVB....It's on FIVBs website. Sounds like funding issues mostly.
