Question for those in the know. I understand these games recently took place in Brazil. How does the level of play compare to the NCAA championship? It appears to similar to first year of NCAA Beach - some good teams and some raw teams. Decent venue and competition for their first event. You can view video on the CBDU web page. www.facebook.com/CBDU.brasil/?hc_ref=SEARCH

Thanks.! We have a friend that played in it and so have followed it a bit. She and her teammate took silver! I was just wondering people's opinion of overall level of play.

I had never heard of this event. But watching some video - and I'm sorry for being the poop in the punchbowl - the overall quality of play was terrible. The Brazilian team could play some, but everyone else I saw would get slaughtered by any decent NCAA pair.

I only watched snippets of this Facebook video and I have to agree that I don't think any of those teams would play at any D1 schools. The team that played first appears the best, but you can't really tell since the team they played could easily be beaten by CBVA 12 yos. The other matches looked like evenly matched 14 yos.

Our friend who I follow played indoor with my daughter and was a very complete and quick player who I thought would translate well to Beach play. She is Mexican and my Spanish and Portuguese translation skills also aren't up to par. That combined with not watching as much sand as I once did makes it difficult to gage. Thanks for the input.
