They are one and the same, the Lindquist sisters are Jameson and Jones.

Well then. If Pavan wasn't 7 feet with an 8 footers reach she wouldn't be very good anyways.

Losing to a pair of 5'6" semi-retired soccer moms is not something you really want on your resume.

I had them picked to possibly win the whole thing, but is it that much of a surprise? Two great players...Haven't played together at all...Practiced a few time....Against sisters who have played together their whole careers....1st tourney....Let's see what happens in Austin,,,,,

The Lindquists are part time players and at their best this would have been a huge upset. Pavan/Salgado were the favorites to win the tournament. Wow!

C'mon guys - what on earth were you thinking? First tourney together for Pavan/Salgado, and the Lindquist sisters playing on their home court where they have probably played 5000 games during their career. Definite good side/bad side out here today, and the Lindquists have chewed up and spit out much better players than Pavan/Salgado during their long careers. Perhaps they have never won an AVP tournament, but the slew of high finishes they achieved through the years was not by accident. They just wear you down and frustrate the heck out of you with their non-blocking, incredibly smart defense and sideout ability. I almost felt a tad bit sorry for Pavan when they were up 14-10 in the third game and they served a trickler over the net for the win, but WAIT, WAIT - no let serves for game point!!! The Lindquists are probably the last team you want to have to score an old-school point on at the end of a game, and you could sense the frustration as Pavan banged a few into the net and hit one out to let them back into it. Don't you guys dare call this an upset - again, the Lindquists have put away much better teams than that in their sleep, and still play like they are 25 years old - it was truly amazing, and really fun to watch in person!!!

Is that because Texas doesn't allow Nebraska grads in Austin?

According to reports, Lindquists were down 11-14 in the third and clawed their way back because of the new sideout "freeze" rule. Few matches like that in the prime-time center court games and folks will start appreciating the appeal of that rule change.

I would call this a upset. Good for the Lind sisters. Too bad they lost the next two they are fun to watch.
