Does anyone know what the word is with Walsh-Jennings and her partner situation? Also, why is it that there has been no firm announcement, "Yes, Kerri is playing on the NVL this year." Unless she devotes her time exclusively to the FIVB (which seems very very doubtful), isn't the NVL the only other option? I'd assume there are some sponsor deals in the works, the LB event is still 2 months away. A joint announcement would have the most bang for the buck.

Kerri & Branagh? Or was the FB video a red herring?

Kerri & Branagh? Or was the FB video a red herring? Didn't Branagh play Hermosa?

Didn't Branagh play Hermosa? You mean Huntington? She played with Xi Zhang; they went 1-2.

Nicole has been part time for a while now, but maybe she has one more run in her? Ok probably not. I am the biggest Branagh fan there is but hard to believe Nicole is the best Kerri can do. I would have thought anyone would be happy to have Kerri as a partner even if it was FIVB only.

Hope it's a thanks/sorry about dumping you when Misty came to make the Olympic run. Nice gesture or no other options? (Insert your call here)

I would have thought anyone would be happy to have Kerri as a partner even if it was FIVB only. Could be a short term patch. Nicole isn't interested in chasing Olympics, could be just happy playing out 2017, where as another younger player would be breaking up an established team and then having to find a new partner for next year.

I would say short term, and just partnering up to play. And it may sound weird to say, but Keri isn't getting any younger. Thus, even younger players might be hesitant to team with Keri because they don't know how long the team-up will last. Further, how many players opted out of the AVP like Keri did, which might make her options much more limited.

Something inside my gut tells me Kerri and April will partner back up before the real Olympic run if Kerri's shoulder holds out. Do not know why just a gut feeling. The same feeling I had that Misty would play in 2012.

I would rather stick a nail in my eye than read that again. I have no idea what Kerri's points may be because the obnoxious, cloying way she expresses herself is so off-putting. "I hope this helps to give some clarity" It certainly clarifies why so many people who know her can't stand her. How on Earth did she get into Stanford, "I believe that I am a constant work in progress and a constant student of life" would make even the most naive admissions officer throw up in their mouth, and thats if an 18 year old wrote it much less a 40 year old with an agent and a PR team. She couldnt say one word about the April split, but she could quote from 16 different lotion commercials? Stay tuned for the inevitable launch of the Kerri Walsh lifestyle brand. "I know that I am closely connected to every single player no matter the age or gender of the athlete" Get over yourself I certainly agree with your last sentence. You definitely need to get over yourself.

The treatment of women by employers most of the time is never good... I know its changing slowly but still there exist many problems...
One of my mentor, she played pro beach before AVP came along, told me that when AVP started there were some women who didn't want to play anymore because of the clothing attire that AVP required versus the older league was more flexible. Something interesting I learned not too long ago...

Something interesting I learned not too long ago... I thought it was FIVB rules that the AVP adopted. It was BS though. I think Lisa Arce retired for that reason although I could be remembering wrong.
