This was a great tournament with great volleyball. I really thought after Friday, Missouri was far and away the best team. They have solid players at every position and could be a top ten team by seasons end. I can't ever remember seeing the Badgers crushed at home like I saw Missouri do to them Friday night (30-12 in game 4 and 30-19 in game 1). I thought Missouri would stomp all over Purdue. The 6'3 freshman from China is Missouri's best player (besides Hunter) and is big-time. When I arrived at Badger Fieldhouse on Saturday, Missouri was beating Purdue badly in game one. After that, Purdue was clearly the better team. The Boilers pass and play defense with great tenacity and consistency. Very average on offense, but haave a great setter and dig everything. The Boilers were playing three freshman most of the teim. Wisconsin looked a little better on Saturday night. Although the Badgers won, they are going to have to get more consistent in the ball control game. I think the Badgers have great atheticsm, but just need to get more consistent. Georgia Tech's setter is making strides. The offense they run is not easy to set. Everything is so quick. Georgia Tech is a good team and will finish in the sweet 16. Four very good teams which made for great volleyball on Saturday.
