Huge comeback to make the semis and they catch a break with the Germans putting out Brazil. They have a good chance to make the finals.

Good start to the year that's for sure. A 4th in the first event and now a first or second.

Nice finish for these two. They played much better today than in the semi, but Larissa was just too good. Brooke/Summer must have dug 10-15 balls that the Brazilians just dug back and converted. Really impressed by Summer's blocking and how it has improved.

Yes it was a nice tourney. Glad to see Summer becoming what people hoped she could.

Yeah I thought they played pretty decent. Maybe not there best but good. The Brazilians were just to good, they dug everything

Only saw the third set in the semis, but it seemed that Summer was getting more serves than Brooke. Was that actually happening or just me thinking that?

Really enjoy reading everyone's perspective on this game. Figured I'd weigh in. I really like the team of Brooke & Summer. Not sure that they are a next level FIVB team the the mighty Brazilians are but they may win a few on the AVP. I think Summer will need to go with April in the next couple of years if she wants to go for 2020. Has to be a slightly disappointed finish for April/Lauren & Sara & Kelly...

They started game 1 on Brooke and game was close so they stared mixing it up a bit. Brazil just played crazy defense Summer really sided out well with the exception of 1 or 2 passes. It was their inability to score that did them in. They even got chances, they just couldn't convert. This seemed like a situation where the Brazilians were sort of saving Brooke for later in the match if it got close but it never really did.
