No reply on Pottstown thread but did Google search on player who beat Zaun/Drost in PA and only high school kid came up. Is this correct? I mean, grass + bigger court + sideout, etc but damn.

I think Chichi is a college player from Canada, at least I think thats what they said last year. No excuse for Zaun losing that match though

Zaun lost to an older brother of current high school player Ben Chinnichi.

I don't think it is all that outrageous. Pottstown is a grind more than anything else. Not wasting any energy on Day 1 is basically the best strategy for the top players looking to win it all. Championship match to me seemed more jump served ripped aces for real points than actual digs/transition kills/blocks.
Zaun being one more year away from his college indoor career, and probably not practicing grass at all this year, certainly doesn't help either. He probably cares more about losing to Ed at the AVP than Pottstown at all.

Very difficult to break down a good team on grass if they are in system. Take a look at the last couple years. Robbie Page and partner couldnt break down the top teams despite a monster 7 foot block on grass.
