PSU has too much fire power and depth while Stanford has Plummer & occasionally Fitz. Frantti, with her 1,000 kill match behind her will have a break out match that will set the tone for the rest of her senior season. Go Frantti! Go PSU!

Everyone knows that PSU trumps Stanford in the fire power department. And without Lutz, the gap may be wider. The issue is really passing and ball control (and maybe blocking) which Stanford may have an edge, but that remains to be seen (or where the intrigue lies). If the difference is large enough, then just maybe Stanford can compete. If not, then PSU will roll the Card.

People who voted for stanford in 4 are either basing it on the fact that Lutz will play (which we don't know yet) or that Stanford's serve and defense will be good enough to make up for their lack of firepower w/o her and limit the Nittany Lions' attack. Hopefully stanford shows some of the grit that got them far in the tourney last year

Serving, blocking, passing, and defense. Firepower is overblown. I have no idea which of these teams will be better in these departments. All I know is that folks will make too much of the result.

Lutz on the bench in a tshirt. Well, that answers what we suspected. But all is not lost for Stanford, they will have better ball control. Plummer on the right side usually hits at a higher percentage. Plummer's block is ok but IMO not as good as Lutz's.

Targeting Lee in serve receive which so far is good for Stanford. Outsides not having trouble with Penn State block. Hentz already made a Hentz play. 10-5 Stanford.

Seem like one team is playing and another is pressing. 🙁

Stanford's more aggressive serving is also equaling in more errors. However, I like the pressure
