I don't believe any SEC schools stream any of their home sporting events outside of SECN/SECN+. Last week, the only reason the Longhorn Network televised the Oregon/Texas match in Gainesville, FL is because ESPN owns both the SECN and LHN. So, they used all the same equipment from the earlier Nebraska @ Florida match televised by SECN, and the same broadcast crew (Nell Fortner, Holly Rowe, etc.) and just used LHN microphones instead of SECN microphones. As for the LHN, it is desperate for LIVE content. So, that is why a couple of years ago all VERT challenge matches in Austin were televised by LHN, even those in which Texas was not playing. And, LHN continues to air all volleyball matches in any tournament Texas hosts, even those in which Texas is not playing, because it wants LIVE programming. SECN is supporting 14 schools, not just one. And at the VERT Challenge, the match not involving Florida or Texas was streamed on ESPN3 because it was a match of two ranked teams of national interest and the SECN announcers and crew were already on site (note: SECN is airing TAMU's matches this weekend). And at the VERT Challenge last year, when ESPN wasn't involved at all, Oregon gave a free HD livestream for matches not on the P12N. Texas A&M hosts Oklahoma State in women's soccer on Friday at 8 PM CST; game will be on SECN+. www.12thman.com/schedule.aspx?path=wsocPerhaps that's the reason why SECN+ passed on the PSU/Stanford volleyball match. That's probably the reason why A&M isn't playing a volleyball match on Friday evening while the soccer team is playing. |

The Nebraska/Oregon match in Gville was streamed on ESPN3. Unless the crew just isn't available that Friday night then I don't see a reason why the same couldn't occur in College Station.

Without Lutz, Stanford stands little to no chance IMO. Youre right. I remember last season Stanford did not win the Pac-12 and were lucky to get a #8 seed in the play-offfs. It was a #6 seed actually. |

"Thanks for inquiring about the possibility of live streaming Friday’s match. We share your passion for volleyball, and fully understand your desire to see Friday’s match.
The Texas A&M Athletics Department went to extensive lengths and made significant efforts to make possible a telecast on the level that Friday’s match deserves. Unfortunately, due to numerous factors (some of which were beyond our ability to control) a feasible, practical solution to televise or live stream the match could not be reached."
Pretty vague, but at least they responded

Pretty vague, but at least they responded I'd love to know what "extensive lengths" they went to. It's setting up a camera, logging on-line, connecting the two. Have people reached to to their respective teams? Perhaps Stan/Penn St. do not want this match streamed...less tape is better. |

I can't help anyone out with live match update, video, etc., because I can't get down to College Station due to no gas stations seem to have gas in DFW area today and I checked with folks down in College station and seems they have same problems. Guess I will have to read about it now.

Everyone will have tape on this match regardless of whether its streamed or not. I think you have to submit to video sharing if you're using Volleymetrics for analytics, which I believe that almost all of the top teams are. |

Guess I will have to read about it now. I'm going from DFW but can't do video. Hopefully someone else more knowledgable than me is there to update everyone! Quite a few gas stations around us have gas now, and so far the Gas Buddy availability app shows Bucee's with gas! BTW, hopefully the Penn State and Stanford teams stopped at Bucee's just for the fun! |

Guess I will have to read about it now. FYI we're on our way now, and the gas stations along 45 so far have gas and no lines. It's about 40 cents higher per gallon than it was a couple of days ago, but so far I'm not seeing any issues related to availability.
