PSU needs this match more than Stanford, and therefore they'll win! 1. They haven't beat a top team for quite some time. 2. I am not usually a pessimistic fan, but after this season PSU might not win a set against Stanford for years. But most importantly, 3. Even PTW is picking on PSU! PSU was consistently ahead through last night, then BOOM! Stanford now seems destined to be the pick in this week's PTW. Hmmm... many who voted in this thread's poll probably forgot to read the memo. I see you trying to manipulate the PTW...I knew it was rigged!

What are the odds the Reed Arena facility people would even allow a tripod/iPad if someone wanted to stream it personally? Aren't there always the standard 'this event is copyrighted, no unauthorized broadcast, etc'...

Aren't there always the standard 'this event is copyrighted, no unauthorized broadcast, etc'... You can't copyright a sporting event. You can enforce copyright on a broadcast (at least, I'm fairly sure of that), but you'd be creating your own so that wouldn't apply. They could of course choose to kick you out of the arena (they can do so for pretty much any reason) but that would just be the arena staff/AD being jerks.

I should also add that its my understanding that someone has reached out to the SEC Network and the network either doesn't have any contractual rights to this match or has released them, if any, to A&M. Either way, it's on the Aggies.

We are talking about a stream on-line. Every deal is different but with no ads it shouldn't be a problem

Some of you will never understand how conference networks work. SECN has 14 schools to cover. Right now, soccer and women's volleyball are underway. SEC has no vested interest to stream the PSU/Stanford match; perhaps these schools should have negotiated that with A&M before they agreed to play the match in College Station; doubt it matters to them, either. Neither the BTN or PACN have the rights to this match as it on the campus of an SEC school. Neither is part of ESPN's family of networks. SEC does not need to stream this match. We are not asking SECN to broadcast this match. We are asking Texas A&M to provide a stream. Wisconsin scrimmaged Creighton in the spring...at a small college in Iowa (cornell) and it was streamed by the university...Embarrasing for Texas A&M to not have this streamed in 2017. Hold a cell phone and put on periscope...this isn't brain science.

The whole "those two teams aren't from our conference so we aren't going to stream them" is crap. The Longhorn Network is streaming Denver and Minnesota next week. And Denver/TAMUCC. Go look at the BTN2Go schedule for tomorrow: www.btn2go.com/schedule?sids=WVB. Lots of non-B1G match-ups. Everyone should email the DOVO, Kim Williams, at kwilliams@athletics.tamu.edu until they make it happen. Email sent!

No stream of a top 5 matchup is embarrassing. I am shocked that Pac-12 network is passing on this. Pac-12 has Colorado St. v. Colorado football game in that time slot. That's a no-brainer choice for Pac-12 network.

Last week, the only reason the Longhorn Network televised the Oregon/Texas match in Gainesville, FL is because ESPN owns both the SECN and LHN. So, they used all the same equipment from the earlier Nebraska @ Florida match televised by SECN, and the same broadcast crew (Nell Fortner, Holly Rowe, etc.) and just used LHN microphones instead of SECN microphones. As for the LHN, it is desperate for LIVE content. So, that is why a couple of years ago all VERT challenge matches in Austin were televised by LHN, even those in which Texas was not playing. And, LHN continues to air all volleyball matches in any tournament Texas hosts, even those in which Texas is not playing, because it wants LIVE programming. SECN is supporting 14 schools, not just one.

It was pointed out in couple of responses by people who know these things that the Pac-12 cant show this match because of contracts and other legalities.

And at the VERT Challenge, the match not involving Florida or Texas was streamed on ESPN3 because it was a match of two ranked teams of national interest and the SECN announcers and crew were already on site (note: SECN is airing TAMU's matches this weekend). And at the VERT Challenge last year, when ESPN wasn't involved at all, Oregon gave a free HD livestream for matches not on the P12N.

You might want to start looking for BTN folks for next week's B1G-PAC-12 Challenge. So far, I've heard there's no indication that anything other than Stanford vs. Illinois will be streamed.
