Does Youngstown even know they have a volleyball team? I think Mark is safe for another year, but if he wants to leave more power to him.

She doesn't have much of a budget though. How can you quantify that the team looks "a whole lot better than before she came"? Trina had 40 Conference wins in the last 6 years that she was there as Head Coach. Susan has 13 conference wins total in her 5+ years there. WSU should be in the top 3rd of the Horizon League. They have good facilities, there is plenty of local talent in the Midwest, and it's an easy school to get into.

They very well could be right there this year.. but honestly, I think their vb gym looks like an old YMCA. They're 8th out of the 9 team horizon league in RPI. 8th out of 9 in the conference standings. I wouldn't qualify them as a "good team" or "mediocre team". What would you qualify them as?

I've been watching them for the last few years. Trina's last couple and Susan's teams. Trina had some ballers but they couldn't compete physically or talent wise. This year's team is pretty darn physical and the level of their play has gone up every year. It may not manifest itself in wins but you can not deny the talent level is much better.

Regarding facilities...hasn't part of Wright State's problem been the lack of Residence Halls? I am seem to recall they have very limited bed space on campus. Being a commuter college can make it tough to attract talent.

Susan will not be in trouble as long as she gets a couple more wins this season. Money is tight there right now so I don't think they will being looking for someone new! But there is no excuse for 13 conference wins in 5 1/2 years in the Horizon League. Yes its a competitive League but they haven't won more than 4 Conference games a season even before Susan got there. She's won 3 already so maybe this year will be different!

DII UIndy getting warm..... First two years were really good...still at or above .500 overall and in conference for the three years since. He is safe this year and possibly beyond. DII does not tend to be quite as quick with a trigger for coaches.

Gotta believe Cal State Fullerton is getting warm. Not sure if she signed a 3 or 5 year deal but man it's not looking good.

Good point about the finances. They are laying off as much staff as necessary and still operate.

Thoughts on Liberty in the Big South? Have struggled the last few years after they used to always be one of the top teams in the conference. Really like Shane personally, but wondering if that seat is getting warmer.

South Dakota State - probably has another year, but the Jackrabbits are 2-21 / 0-10 in the Summit League. In 21 loses, they have only won 6 games.
