Might be time to officially put the Ole Miss coach on here. 8 wins in his first two years in league play, only 6 wins last year, might get 1 or 2 at most the rest of this year giving him 6-7 wins in his 4th year.

Disagree. Steven is a very good coach and the admin loves him. He'll get another 2 years to show improvement.

Records are as of 9/30/17. The records of last year, year before, and the current year. I removed anyone hired this year or last year, and I didn't included any of the HBCUs. The list includes anyone in their 3rd year and beyond, the records include 2015, 2016, and 2017. No promising on accuracy, the records were taken from MasseyRatings.com. Only programs with .500 or worse are listed.
In my opinion, the best 5 jobs would be; Oklahoma, St. Marys CA, Houston, San Diego St, and Fresno State.
I had a post about it on the Big 12 thread, but OU should be better than they are. Restrepo has had some success there, but they're abysmal, and have been for a bit. They have amazing access to top talent, they have resources, there's a commitment at OU for success in non revenue sports. Their current level of performance is extremely subpar. Does their 5-set loss to KU ease the pressure at all? Too bad they got blown out by Baylor this weekend as well.

Mississippi State - NOT Ol Miss -- Mississippi State has 17 losses this year...only 5 game (ok...set) wins in those 17 losses. Only 3 set wins in 0-11 SEC record. Team has not won a single set since they played Tennessee over a month ago - 9 straight 0-3 matches. His seat is warm.

Not sure MSU cares enough of volleyball to change their coach?

Just to clear up any confusion...
Steven McRoberts is the head coach at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). They are currently 14-11 overall, 5-5 in conference. In the previous 3 seasons under McRoberts Ole Miss has gone 61-35 overall, 22-32 in conference.
David McFatrich is the head coach at Mississippi State University. They are currently 9-17 overall, 0-11 in conference. In the previous 2 seasons under McFatrich Miss State has gone 31-33 overall, 12-24 in conference.

Correct, except ole miss is 5-7 in conference this year not 5-5. They have yet to finish at or over .500 in conference under Stevens helm. Year 4, doesn't look like it will happen this year either.

MSU has been a disaster this year, definitely. It was always going to be a tough year, given the senior-laden team last year, but then in the off-season he had pair of deadly transfers, Blossom Sato and Emily Hill (2 of his best returning 3 players), and he lost his other setter, as well. It’s only year 3 after two better-than-expected years in his first two, so I don’t know if he’s really in trouble yet.
As for McRoberts at Ole Miss, I’ve thought for a while that he might be in trouble. If the admin does love him, he’s probably fine. His overall W-L record is good, but imo that’s largely due to very soft OOC scheduling. He has never taken the Rebels to the tournament (this is only his fourth year), and he’s never been above .500 in conference. I don’t think his recruiting has been up to snuff, but every year someone on the Ole Miss roster surprises me with how good a year they have (last year, Cather, this year Stroup).
I think under normal circumstances his seat would be on the warm-ish side, but if Girlpower’s observation is correct, that may explain why it isn’t.

Good catch. For whatever reason, the Ole Miss schedule page does not have their updated record at the top.

Good Clarification...Even though Ole Miss was the original reference, I was referring to Mississippi State when I posted the won-loss information because I read the original as Mississippi State in my head.. I made an edit to clear up confusion.

You have to wonder what it will take ... the entire athletic department is such a dumpster fire that Werneke/VB may just be flying under the radar.

Last time I checked, Rutgers still isn't fully-funded.

Last time I checked, Rutgers still isn't fully-funded. If that'a true, what are they doing in the BIG? Worst. Conference. Addition. Ever.
