Does Terry run a consulting service? How do coaches get on his ‘list’ for consideration? Is his service just for schools or for coaches as well?

I’m confused at why Terry would be acting on South Carolina’s behalf as well. Unless he runs a consulting service, where’s the connection?

What do you consider a solid salary in NYC? My guess is the salary will be around $110-120,000. Job Posting puts it at "Compensation grade: band 52" and when you google the pay bands at NYU, 52 is the lowest of 5 tiers, and a job typical of band 52 is "Analyst." Even charging $65k per year, if NYU is paying $110,000 to every analyst and secretary they aren't going to stay in business long. EADA lists the average salary for a head coach of a women's team at $56,851. The Fencing coach is part-time but one part time position isn't dropping the average by 50%.

Long Island is a 35-40 minute train ride and you can find 1 bedrooms for $1500 Long Island is a 35-40 minute train ride to Grand Central, where you'd have to transfer and get on a train down to NYU (15-30 extra minutes... could be 45+ on a rough day...happening more and more as the MTA gets worse). If you mean Long Island City.... I don't think there are too many quality 1 bedrooms for $1500 anymore. No I mean Long Island, western Nassau County is only stops into Penn Station. Yes you'd have to add a subway ride to the commute but it beats driving in. Yes NYC is expensive but for a DIII school to pay over 100K is pretty good.

So, what's better: 100K at NYU in NYC or $47k in Mississippi? But in Mississippi, you also have to meet these requirements: "Based upon the religious exemption of the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Mississippi College has the right to discriminate on religious grounds in employment of faculty and staff to the extent that applicable law respect its right or act in furtherance of its religious objectives and mission. Pursuant to this exemption, Mississippi College does not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation per se, but does discriminate on the basis of sexual misconduct including but not limited to non-marital sexual misconduct, homosexual conduct, or the encouragement or advocacy of any form of sexual behavior in conflict with the Christian and Baptist identity or faith mission of Mississippi College."

It's nice of them to spell it out. Many school's simply say "you'll need to sign a statement of faith, and we'll need the name and number of your pastor." The transparency here is actually somewhat refreshing.
