I’ve heard some juicy rumors that I can’t wait to see if they come to fruition. This could be an exciting offseason Spill the tea pretty please. Caffrey is from Fla

A big time player in Payton Caffrey (West Virginia) is transferring She could slide into that OH2 with Thayer Hall and Florida looks really solid at the pins next year Any program would be lucky to have Payton! Great player. She will definitely make a program stronger.

She is really really good Hit .220 in a weak big 12 some of you are overreacting/reaching. but I saw her really struggle against Baylor so maybe I just didn't watch her at her best. I would tend toward the latter. She was WVU's only big threat so defenses concentrated on stopping her. She seems to be a bit inconsistent as stats show a fairly high number of errors, but is capable of dominating games. She was the primary reason WVU took Texas to 5 sets early in the conference season. Also tough server.

Huh. So reading this it sounds like the Coaches Seeking Transfers thread is the no-no. This thread seems fine. I haven't read the entire thread yet, but is it just mentioning a scholarship that makes it illegal? It seems like way more schools should have been sanctioned but only one team was mentioned in the Billy Ebel message?

If I understand correctly, players have to have permission to contact or release from their athletic department, and they have to contact coaches themselves, rather than having the coaches initiate contact. But I don't know what's illegal about generally saying, "We have a need for <position> and there's <scholarship details> available." If that were the case, wouldn't PrepVolleyball's College Needs List be illegal also?

Based off posts and messages the two year transfer average for Senior Aces will continue to move up. The early recruiting continues to pay off!!!

You can't do that to players who are currently on another college's roster. That makes perfect sense to me. Does PrepVolleyball's needs list include transfers?

The publication of advertising or promotional material, by or on behalf of a member institution, designed to solicit the enrollment of a prospective student-athlete is not permitted, except as provided in Bylaws 13.4.4.1.1 Accordingly, a member institution may not buy or arrange to have space in game programs or other printed materials published to provide information concerning the athletics participation or evaluation of prospective student-athletes (e.g., recruiting publications) for any purpose whatsoever, including advertisements, a listing of prospective or enrolled student-athletes who will attend the institution and informative materials related to the institution. I guess a coach using a publication (in this case VT) - to solicit enrollment is illegal. Every year the NCAA swears they are going to make the rule book smaller... and get rid of some of the rules... and every year they're reactionary to some new "thing" and end up MAKING new rules... #thanksNCAA
