Here's the really telling result. Take the St Paul City Conference. They haven't had a competitive volleyball team for years -- not in terms of making the State Tournament or even coming close. But basketball, soccer and even football? They have. Especially soccer and basketball. It's the go to conference for Badminton though. And Math Team.

I think volleyball is popular in the southeast asian communities in St Paul. Doesn't mean that alone would make them competitive with suburban girls, whose parents pay for camps, year round club, and strength training. But I'm pretty sure it is popular ...

Not a lot of size either. Stereotyping, but still true.

Anyone know if Cianna Selbitchka from North Branch has committed? Holy crap she's good.
I know she plays for Kokoro and has to be on every major college team's radar.
Just wondering if she's made a decision.

Seriously? That's a steal. Any particular reason? I can't believe she doesn't go to a top 10 team. Thus far, I think she's the shining star of the state tournament. Watched the MN state semifinals via prepspotlight.tv/MSHSL. The announcers had no clue but were better than expected. At least they admitted when they didn't know what was happening. Not surprised to see Champlin Park vs. Eagan in the Class 3A finals. It's basically MN Select vs. Northern Lights. Have to say I'm also cheering for Medford in 1A. Gotta love the tiny schools from small towns who can field a great team. Also love Marshall. Those girls in the SW MN clubs are awesome. Gotta cheer for the girls in the public schools over the private ones.

They're (multiple copies in nearly the same place, for the same "purpose") hiding in plain view once you're close enough. They are NOT in the alumnae photo. Next clue (although as a reminder, the two hints with regard to the photographs restricts the possible locations)... The "Ms" emblems/logos are architectural detail. Easiest to recognize from section 111 or 112. There are four.

Does Cianna have personal reasons for heading to Duluth? Family? Friends?
Pretty sure she's just a junior but she is amazing.
Can't imagine any team not wanting her.
D1 talent? That's a no-brainer.
She's outplayed a lot of players with "guaranteed" scholarships to the top schools.

Juhnke's another one. South Dakota outkicked their coverage with her.

It was senior night tonight. Plenty of opportunities to give Beckley and Buford some playing time..on senior night. So disappointing. Boo.
