It was senior night tonight. Plenty of opportunities to give Beckley and Buford some playing time..on senior night. So disappointing. Boo. I was disappointed in the playing time for Buford and Beckley as well...maybe they will get more at Rutgers on their last weekend? Of course, it would have been nice to do it home with their family in attendance.

Maybe she'd rather win a national title in DII (NCC teams, or DIII MIAC teams) than go to a team that won't be nationally competitive in DI ?

Question I have is....
Over the past 4 years as our starting setter for Gopher Volleyball, has anyone asked SSS what she feels was the major factor for each team/each year that contributed to the success they had? So many great memories and maybe too many to pinpoint, but it would be fun to hear what she has to say.

"Me."
Not that she would say it, or maybe even think it. But that's the correct answer, imo.

"Me." Not that she would say it, or maybe even think it. But that's the correct answer, imo. Sam has been to the Gophers what Paula Gentil was in her days, a game changer! It helps that Hugh has been able to draw on more than in state talent both with those on the roster now and future recruits. This Gopher team doesn't have a glaring weakness at any position and I'm very happy Sam has all this talent around her in her senior season!

I've been very pleasantly surprised with Lauren Barnes stepping in to set when needed. Reminds me a little of Alexandra Palmer - very small player, but technically sound.
She is SO. GOOD.

No Minnesota player got any love from the Big Ten this week. I wonder if that’s the first since conference games started?

Too much balance, although they could have gone with SSS again.
This makes up for last week?

Hard to win setter of the week, when the other team makes so many errors. Assume JP won it for her big match against Penn State.

Next clue (although as a reminder, the two hints with regard to the photographs restricts the possible locations)... The "Ms" emblems/logos are architectural detail. Easiest to recognize from section 111 or 112. There are four. I think some people are still searching (and not yet completely sick of it)... Based on photos from past years, I believe the "Ms" emblems/logos will be covered up for the remaining home matches this year.

These hints helped me figure out where they are. I would never have realized they were there, nor would I have found them without the clues!

There -used- to be a "Ms" logo on top of each scoreboard, but those were replaced when the scoreboard was upgraded.
After WICA and MICA merged in 2006(?) they pasted a big picture of Goldy over the 's' on the scoreboards.
