How badly is truth being stretched when they say Adanna is 6 feet? I would have guessed 5'10" at the Open here, but that may have been a perspective thing. Maybe she is taller.

That's just crazy. Do the coaches honor the scholarships to someone who has verbaled or do they take them off the table if there is an injury/transfer/late bloomer, whatever? I'm sure they could, but I would hope they would honor them to the kid and there are no Nick Saban moments where they offer and get a verbal and then there is none available to the kid when they graduate. From what I've seen in women's sports, verbals tend to be honored by both sides. I think most often when reneged by the school it's for academic reasons.

Are McGraw and Rollins both enrolling early?
Are the other 2 recruits?

I see Paige Tapp is in Europe for 2018, Allianz MTV Stuttgart ht.ly/CXd330gXByt. I recall that Hannah Tapp, Sarah Wilhite, Tori Dixon, and Lauren Gibbemeyer are all in Italy. Erica Handley is in France; linkhttp://www.gophersports.com/sports/w-volley/spec-rel/060617aaa.html. Nicole Branagh is still playing beach in California. Where are Jessy Jones, and Daly Santana this year? Edit - apparently Daly is in Italy too and Erica is in France. That just leaves Jessy Jones who may have played her last year in Turkey.

What's it going to take for Minnesota to obtain the elusive NC? Nebraska, Stanford, Texas, Penn State and Florida seem to keep recruiting every year many of the Top 20. As mentioned before, some of the coaches to these schools seem to be playing the "transfer game" and with much success. How does Minnesota and others compete against that unless they get involved too?
We have been in the McCutcheon Era for several years now. I and many Minnesota fans feel we have the right coach to take us to that next level. However, it appears the National Championship Team has just not quite been assembled here in Minnesota. So, does Hugh get involved in the "transfer game"? Especially with 6'4 to 6'8" Middle Blockers on BIG Volleyball teams.
Don't get me wrong, absolutely great talent has been recruited here Two Final Fours to hang our hats on is something to be quite proud of. Also, with our most recent All-Americans, we can proudly say we are on the right track.
So, if we have a weakness in certain positions, is it time we take another route to obtain the NC? For me it takes much Heart, Talent, Belief and Team Chemistry to see it happen. Will the 2018 Minnesota Volleyball Team have all this and more to succeed at the highest level?

I really think they were good enough to win in 2015 and 2016. And they should have another shot in 2018.
Will they ever have a team that is head and shoulders above the rest of the country? I don't see that happening.

Can someone help me better understand Hugh's coaching style? Are we seeing recruits based on his preferred style and then are not living up to his expectations? Could it be time for Hugh to run an offense based on the talent he has? I guess what I am saying is, if the blocking wasn't there last year, why didn't we run an offense that would give us more hitting power? Please, I need to understand his coaching style a lot more.

I haven't seen Hugh's teams play enough to know for sure, but I'll throw this out here and wait for others to comment. I think that Hugh is a "systems" coach, like Brian Gimmillaro. Hard to beat when the team in in their system, somewhat helpless if you can get them out of it. Also, I think Hugh likes low error volleyball. Perhaps this conservative style fails when playing the best teams.
