That's admirable. Texas used to run an exhausting drill in practice called Texas Tough. You had to keep the balls up. Thought it was a good occasional exercise but imo formed bad habits. Players get lazy and don't study hitters. They just go for the dive. The dive really isn't that difficult. It's successes are overrated and come at a cost. Getting a sound well framed dig pays off big dividends and is the stuff All Americans, not honorable mentions, are made of. You don’t like her. Noted. And AA HM is an undesirable award. Noted. I kinda do like the kid. Maybe fixable. She likes to be in the air even when there is an easy set in front of her. Mr. Elliott might like her a lot. Am quite fed up with Texas using the dive as the preferred method of digging. Look at Most any photo of Catherine McCoy. Where is she? About to land on the floor face first. Then there was 4 years of diving Chloe. It's so misleading and the consequences go unnoticed. I love in system volleyball. Diving is the antithesis of in system. I miss Sarah!! Honorable mention is fine for a freshman. After that you're in the big girls club. I hate to use this analogy but it's like Mr. Elliott's bio where 2nd team all city is mentioned as an accolade. Rarely noted: After chasing down a ball it's not mandatory to use a one arm swing at it. |

Slightly awkward photo as one player has left the program, another red-shirted, and two others (some) commentators on this board are actively rooting to transfer in order to weaken Texas and strengthen their team. But, mostly to weaken Texas. A pox on you trolls. Also awkward that they made their head sizes match their recruiting rank, from biggest to smallest. dang that’s very observant of you, I didn’t notice it until you pointed it out |

Only twice did I see a crack in that smile. The "Lexi I saw you" moment. I saw a bit of a flush on your face when Mr.Elliott took you out of a game and scolded you. Then the game with Baylor at Waco had a moment for many did it not? |

I'm excited what the new season can bring. We have a really small squad in spring, which means more pressure on the player to develop on their skills. Jerritt has a lot of work to do like year in and year out but this year we are losing 6 players and that's a lot.
On another note, if set in stone, we will have the most terminal outsides next season with Lexi and Micaya as they were in the top 3 duo last season. It just depended on who had a bad game. We all want what's best for Lexi and what makes her happy.
I see transfers coming. Tonya is on the hunt right now and we all know it.
Any spring games announced yet?
