Why shouldn't Huskey be on the court? Her blocking is great and set location will only get better. The best thing to do is continue with same setting lineup while allowing little sister to redshirt. i just don’t think she’s very good. Maybe she can in the future, but until she has better location, makes better decisions, and manages her composure I think FL’s best line up is with the sisters on the court So you want to shake up a setting lineup that got a team to the national championship for an incoming freshman without any experience Just curious if you have seen the younger sister play enough to make this claim. Because most people have already penciled in two freshman to immediately playa long with a new middle (maybe two) because a 6'8" kid didn't put an overpass away during the national championship match. This seems to be going overboard in my book.

I liked her game a lot. Time will tell

It is not about being able to play day one but rather how it affects the program
Does a shift to a 5-1 with the incoming Freshman work compared to the modified 5-1 system they used this past season? If the setting is better by x percentage but the blocking is worse by y percentage how is that quantifiable especially when you would then bench two setters that you rode to the national championship versus having her redshirt Still don't know anything about other positions being ready. Does possibly having three four freshman on the floor work for this season with Hall Warner and "little sis" and possibly libero along with having a new starting middle and a issue at OH2 position. Too many variables to just say let's put out no starters from last years team on the floor after a national finalist season.

Just saw Payton Caffrey is on the transfer list and she’s from Orlando area.. if Mary can get her Florida’s way, I think this Florida Team could contend next year.

2019 is Florida's year IMO, but I'm hoping for a Thayer-led deep run into the postseason for 2018. If we can get them a FF appearance/experience, that would be aaamaazzing for their chances in 2019.
2019 will be the same exact lineup with Marlie Monserez likely beating out Huskey for the starting job in a 5-1. Hall, Hammons and Warner could all be 3 rotations. King will have a solid year starting under her belt and will be the closest thing you can get to an Alhassan replacement. Kramer will have learned to kill an overpass for sure and still be 6'8. Gregory will be a senior in her 4th year starting. When you think about the future, this is actually the best argument for Marlie starting in 2018. It would then be the same exact starting lineup 2 years in a row.

So you will have three setters on the roster and the incoming freshman will beat out the two that took the team to finals and if it will be a down year possibly use up one year of her eligibility ?
Maybe I see this differently than a lot of people but with the amount of freshman already playing wouldn't you want some stability?
Who is the back up for younger sis the following year ?? I doubt Huskey would stay if close to graduation to sit bench her senior year

Similar numbers to Snyder, minus the digging, as a freshman in the Big 12. I doubt she looks at Florida with Soko and Greer waiting. Seems like more of an impact can be made as a replacement for Stranzali at the U.

Hmm I don't think you pull a starter because of bad match for the next two years. I think everyone is going overboard

I'm just saying we shouldn't understate "what could have been" if this skill had been sharper. So, she should work on it lol.

I think her entire game was off. She wasn't hitting around or over blocks. Her tips didn't land. Overpass situation. Didn't better troubled sets. But I also believe in her. It was one or two games really. I think she goes home she gets some rest and she reignites the dream again. She's going to be fine. I think we are going to see more leadership from her as well.

I doubt Huskey would stay if close to graduation to sit bench her senior year I agree with you on the stability. I think it should stay 5-2 this year with Allie and Huskey. Guess it just depends how well Hall/Warner can pass or how well Hammons can hit. Only so many subs, ya know? Also, like I said earlier, something to consider about the advantage of having THE SAME EXACT LINEUP 2 YEARS IN A ROW. So, let's not rule Marlie out in a 5-1 or 5-2. But, if Huskey can continue improving, she can really be a force with her blocking. If that happens, I'm ok with M. Monserez taking lead of the team in 2020 as a RS Soph, like Allie did. There could also be a 5-2 in 2019 with Huskey and Marlie. By that time, I expect us to have three 6 rotation caliber players on the pins.

You guys are getting me all excited with all of these options Wise will have in the next couple years. There will be a battle for the MB positions, pin positions and Defensive positions. I think the setter positions are on lock for now. I like Gregory at Libero BUT with Hargraves, Fischer, and Cerame waiting in the wings it won't be that easy.
