Agree. Kramer made huge strides from her first to second years, and I'm sure her junior year will have her playing at a new level. Sure she had a poor showing in the final, but she'll learn from it. Just because Lutz made the transition to RS doesn't mean Kramer can. She doesn't have enough range, and I fear what the off-blocker defense would look like (read: none). Joseph was special, in that she could cover good ground and had so much range in terms of her attacks and how well she could transition. My prediction: Kramer stays the M2. King came in highly touted, and she has major shoes to fill. I do like Kellum, as she is a pure slide attacker, which the program has missed for years. I also love it when a player who rides the pine finally gets the chance to break out her senior year. Maybe her on the right-side? Setting will be interesting. I predict either the 5-2 or a 6-2 with Husky playing all the way around and attacking. Might see far fetched, but I predict they toy with it. I think the younger Monserez takes a redshirt, Warner is in the mix to play RS across the front row (with Mia and Kellum getting looks in the off-season), and Hall locking in the L1. I remember last year when some people were suggesting Kramer should be moved to opposite. So what happens? She stays put, improves an awful lot and becomes an All American. So yeah, Mary should move her to opposite in her junior year? Not going to happen, and it shouldn't. Kramer had a bad Final Four, no doubt about it. She looked scared as hell. But the woman is a middle and will continue to improve. As far as using Shainah as example of moving players into different positions, ugh. Another questionable decision by Mary was moving her to outside her junior year. Imagine how improved Greer would have been this year if she had played last year. I believe Shainah should have been used at opposite to give Holston a break, which at times she obviously needed. Going forward, let's hope Mary makes more decisions such as keeping Kramer at middle and less such as moving Shainah. BV- While you are clearly a fan and care about the Gators, I hope you aren't too disappointed if much of what you have predicted doesn't come to be. No matter what actually happens, the Gators are a talented bunch who have the ability and experience to compete at a high level again in 2018.

Unless you are a member of UF coaching staff all everyone else can do are make predictions. Correct?

Most definitely Coach Wise will be working on the back row passing/defense off season. Honestly Paige Hammons really stepped up her game in the post season and will only get better. The back row defense will make a difference next year. Having all of those hitters upfront doesn't matter if you have no defense. I would not be surprised if one or both of the incoming freshmen get a chance to make an immediate impact. CVD- Are you suggesting that it was the Gators backrow passing and defense that didn't allow them to beat Nebraska in the Championship? Worse yet, are you suggesting that this was Florida's area of weakness throughout the season that didn't allow them to perform at an even higher level? Sorry, but when I see comments like these "the back row defense will make a difference next year", I cringe and ask you to speak directly to your point. Anyone who watched knows that Florida's serve receive in the Championship Match was less then stellar, starting with the libero play. But even when the Gators were perfectly in system on Championship night, they had a tough time siding out. And yes, you will have me repeating myself until I turn purple that there is no way that your team can be near the very top in hitting percentage without solid first contact, nor can your team be at the top in holding other team's to the lowest hitting percentage in the nation if you aren't playing solid defense, and that means a heck of a lot more than just a solid block. And if you are going to pass out criticism about the backrow in the Final, where are the bouquets and plaudits for the way they played against Stanford in the Semi-Final? You do realize that Stanford had 0 aces on the night, and that the Gators committed 0 serve receive errors, right? Sheesh. 30-2, outstanding team chemistry, talent a plenty and a second place finish, only the program's second ever. And yet, "the hope is that the team will improve with more work and better effort in passing and defense." All part's of a team game need to be outstanding and on the peak night, they weren't. Tip your hat to Nebraska and look forward to next year, but please do not forget this great group of Gators, the majority of whom return. Are there areas of improvement? There is on every team, in every sport, but please do not tear down what was accomplished by pinning it, in a subtle and suggestive way, on any one part of the Gators' crew.

Dude, I agree with everything you just said. I am not critiquing just MY observation. Any team in any sport have something they need to work on. MY observation is serve receive and back row defense (first touch). SHEESH!!

Unnamed sources confirm that Cheyenne Huskey will be transferring from Florida. She’s not good. Location is all over the place. Doesn’t make good decisions.

Unnamed sources confirm that Cheyenne Huskey will be transferring from Florida. Wishing her the best. She had some stellar solo blocks that were real momentum changers and helped propel us to the finals.

Thayer Hall is gonna be at UF in a week according to twitter! Huzzah! I wonder how many of the '18 class will be here in the spring? Having a lot of them here would go a LONG way toward helping start off the Fall season well.

Agree that her location and decision-making need work, but she seemed like a great teammate and genuinely sweet girl. I'm thinking she ends up at TAMU.
