Top 10 or 15 recruit Schirmer is already right there on the bench. Hasn’t played yet, will she be redshirted or Crouch doesn’t feel she fits the bill? The conference schedule is just beginning. If needed isn't she the substitute for any of the 3 starting pins? With Krage's medical retirement, I think she has to be. Garrick was an OH in HS, maybe she hits and Adams plays L (LOL - just a joke).

I don't know if redshirting her would necessarily be intentional. Lanier, Botkin, and Baptista are doing well - I am not sure any have done poorly enough to get benched. Word on the street was that Schirmer is hitting well but still struggles to pass. USC already cannot pass, so they definitely cannot afford to downgrade there. With Adams on the injury list (I think) I am not sure who can DS for her. Le Grand has never shown herself ready to earn a spot on the floor. Meyer-Whalley played back right and may not be able to convert to middle back on a whim.

Does SC have another OH freshman phenom committed to come in to help out Botkin when Lanier graduates? I still hope Lanier plays lights out her senior year and take NPOY. I don’t think it’s hers to take in 2018. She’s definitely a stud like Jupiter and Bricio. Kalen Owes? Assuming there are still scholarships available for all 3 of the 2019 recruits. Are Owes, Horin, and McCaa all signing their NLI next month?

With Brown not being admitted and Baum going to BC, we may need Adams to L in 2019 and 2020, pending a transfer or recruit.

On the Future of USC thread there are some scholarship posts. For 2019 I assume the schollies are: Baptista Botkin Gross Hansen Horin Humphreys Lanier Lazaro LeGrand McCaa Owes Schirmer Just a guess. Some girls may not be on 4 year deals, right?

There are only 2 players not mentioned. Marina transferred from Duke and Adams transferred from Ohio St. and both are srs in 2019.

When is the signing period? Interested to see if Owes, Horin, and McCaa all sign. It starts November 14, and this year, under the new rules, it goes continuously to August 1, 2019. Very strange change. Assume the recruits will sign November 14.

Any concerns that Crouch is towering over Horin? Looks like he is on a step higher, gotta be the only explanation!

Any concerns that Crouch is towering over Horin? Brent is around 6'1," which would make Horin about 5'8" or so if they were actually side by side. So yeah, he's definitely standing on a step above her.
