I heard Kobe was at the Vegas tourney this weekend. I also heard his daughter goes to orange Lutheran in Orange County. SoCal people, what club does his daughter play for? Out of curiosity

I believe she attends Sage Hill, not Orange Lutheran.

Well, I doubt Kobe has much trouble coming up with Sage Hill's $40,000-plus annual tuition.

How good is she? If she wasn't Kobe's daughter, would D1 coaches be interested in signing her?

why not take her? don't have to allocate a scholarship and you get free publicity? if she turns out to be a contributor at some point in her 4 years, fine. if not, nothing lost.

I've never seen her play, so I don't know how she'd be compared to some other walk on....but it would be pretty tough to decide. She is going to slow practices down if she doesn't ball control anywhere close to the rest of the program...but there will probably be some pretty healthy contributions to the program by Kobe. Hopefully she is good enough to be a decent walk on and then you don't have to worry about making that tough decision.

Or maybe Division I isn't the only option and she will want to go somewhere where dad's contributions aren't the reason she is on the team. Maybe she will want to have her own experience at a school that is the right fit for her. Or maybe she doesn't even want to play in college.

Was just going off what others had said. I have zero knowledge of her or her situation.
Regardless of who she is, you'd think she wants to go somewhere she can contribute if shes going to play in college...not ride the bench while dad funds the program.

That did not work out well for Marcus Jordan as he refused to wear Adidas at UCF and wound up getting the school in trouble with their sponsor, Kobe is BIG TIME Nike - if he was going to be making contributions or feel that strongly about it I am sure Adidas would not be the sponsor name of his daughters club. But totally right, just because her dad was a specimen does not mean she will even be remotely close to keeping up with the level of play at a bigger school, otherwise I assume her team would have played open this weekend.

Kobe and his daughter sat courtside for the USC- Stanford match. If I was USC I would offer her a scholarship right now, the free publicity and having Kobe sit court side at all USC home match's would pay off in a tremendous amount of FREE PUBLICITY and ESPN views.
