Kobe and his daughter sat courtside for the USC- Stanford match. If I was USC I would offer her a scholarship right now, the free publicity and having Kobe sit court side at all USC home match's would pay off in a tremendous amount of FREE PUBLICITY and ESPN views. This is sarcasm right? Why in the world would you waste a scholarship on someone if they are not even close to being able to compete. And we are talking USC here, not Akron or something.

I think it would be great move on the part of USC. UCLA offered Snoop Dogs son a scholarship to play football.

why not take her? don't have to allocate a scholarship and you get free publicity? if she turns out to be a contributor at some point in her 4 years, fine. if not, nothing lost. Contrary to what many believe, having the daughter of a former pro athlete is more often a headache. Many of these kids have never had to work for a thing in their lives and their parent(s) are used to getting their way due to their money/fame/notoriety.

Didn't Puff Daddy go after his son's coaches at UCLA and attack one of them with a kettle ball over playing time? www.tmz.com/2015/06/22/diddy-arrested-fight-ucla-football-coach-justin/Interesting, this is the same guy who got in trouble while coaching with the jets for trying to trip a gunner on special teams.

P Diddy is also suspected of hiring the hit on Tupac though, I wouldn't mess with him!

Anecdotally-Rachel Ramsey, daughter of Mike Ramsey (1980 Miracle On Ice, 19 yrs NHL, 11 yrs coaching NHL) played defense for Minnesota Gophers women's hockey team and was a fantastic player on national championship teams. Not exactly Kobe Bryant level but, anyways, she was great
