Get out of that loser conference and get back to the Big West and then we will see if you guys will dominate there(as you mistakenly think you will) like you do in your patsy conference ;D

Beachman – The Hawaii athletic department is not stupid – why would they want to be in the Big West? They would struggle and in a good year finish third. Even LBSU would finish ahead of them. ;D

Seriously though, UH would be well served to go independent in football, their team ain't that good anyway, but it draws well on the island cause there isn't much other competition. Other schools would still play them as they all want to go to Hawaii in the fall....then they could concentrate on the other stuff and would have much much better competition in all sports from volleyball to baseball, to softball, etc......

Oh, and one more thing....if UH was in the Big West they wouldn't be UNDEFEATED right now either! Seems I remember a UH team that showed up to the Pyramid ranked #1 in the country, and got their asses handed to them! ;D

The Big West is nowhere near as strong at the top as they when Pacific was strong and the Beach were expected to make it past the second round. Now those things have become more about lore instead of reality. It sure was nice to leave the Big West undefeated ...

"Hawaii would've won the Big West the last two years easily. "
Are you including this year as part of the last two years?

UCI is a BIG Question mark --- their fade away at the end of the season will HURT them. I had high hopes for UCI and CSUN -- wonder if I jinxed them? I think CSUN shot themselves in their feet and dived into quick sand after their tough loss and second match at UCI. CSUN was leading 11-3 in the fifth game and UCI came all the way back to win that game I think 15-13 or 16-14 and then CSUN started to sink in quick sand. The last three matches they played like how some people have seen them play. The looked good but as the cliche goes - too little too late for CSUN. Even if CSUN doesn't get in the tournament I still think they had a good year.

I remember Hawaii making it to the final four each of the past two years and LBSU making it to the first round of the tournament. Perhaps LBSU will be fortunate enough to be sent to Hawaii for their 1st / 2nd round matches.

If not let me refresh your memory. Haneef, Thomas, and "thumb twister" Weaver don't look too happy in this pic. Lol! starbulletin.com/2000/12/08/sports/art.jpg [/img] Beach fans have no class.

After the shot to the feet, that dive into the quick sand may have staunched the bleeding and preserved the wherewithal to overcome the frequently terminal too-little-too-late syndrome. By beating LMU at LMU Tuesday, CSUN may just have shotgunned themselves into the NCAA pool party.
