I think the key was that those losses were early in the season. Since then, Stanford has had some good wins.

I don't deny Stanford is coming on. I just don't know why St Marys is #14 then.
I don't even have a problem with the Gaels being ranked behind Stanford--but #8 and #14 just seems weird to me.
It's better than the AVCA, I guess. #9 and #16 last week and possibly a bigger gap this week.

WHAT A JOKE... SHOWS HOW MUCH YOU GUYS FOLLOW VOLLEYBALL.... Do you recall this post from another thread? It appears that you are too lazy to figure out the VT IM system and/or to compile more than a Top 5. If you don't make your own vote count, don't be all pissy when the collective opinion does not match yours.

Also, he needs to realize that this poll's objective is not to emulate or predict the AVCA poll. It is based on a variety of people that see volleyball from different parts of the country. I think it's been better than the AVCA poll so far .. personal opinion.

How can one set of opinions (VT poll) be considered "better" than another set of opinions (AVCA poll)? I know, that's just your opinion.

By my calculations, Pablo went 54-16. (R)uffda! was 56-14. Can anyone top that?
(Both those records include a 1-6 in the ACC tournament.)

By my calculations, Pablo went 53-17. (Since Virginia won its first match, with the HCA, it was favored over Duke, but lost, so that's the difference between your and my calculation. I think (R) was 1-6 in ACC, and Pablo (and publius) were 0-7.) I agree (R)uffda went 56-14. I think BonJoeV went 57-13. I don't know what to say except that (R) chose Utah over Hawaii and BJV didn't. BTW, isn't this on the wrong thread?
