The AAC gets 6 teams into post season. 2 to NCAA and 4 to NIVC. I think this league should get 3 in each year to the NCAA’s. They start a conference tournament next year and I bet that helps it happen. They had 6 teams in the top 100 and with them playing each other in a tournament will only increase rpi points. Good luck to these teams in post season! I hope they don't have more than 8 teams in the conference tournament because for the top 4 teams it could hurt their RPI also having to play the 4 worst teams in the conference. If Tulane had another match against UCF or Cincinnati it probably would have gotten them in this year. There's no Conference Tournament

My response was to Girlpower stating that they will be starting a conference tournament in the AAC next year, and stating if they had had one this year it may have benefited Tulane if they played UCF or Cincy again.

Agree!!
Tough day for the AAC yesterday. UCF loss (was afraid that was coming) Tulsa and USF lost as well.. WSU and Tulane won. Both in 5 sets. I think Tulane has a shot to win the NIVC.

Now only Cinci and Tulane are still playing. Cinci looked good ina sweep. Tulane looked great beating Cal Baptist to move into the final 8 teams of the NIVC. Still think they were playing the best ball in the AAC. Cinci has Marquette tonight.

Just saw an ad on the UCF football game for the conference touting them as a “power 6 “ conference.
No.
It is the power 5.
You can’t just make up a new group and add yourself.

Tough loss for Cinci. Swept by Marquette. Both Ncaa teams out. 4 made the NIVC and Tulane last man standing.

Great to see a team in the AAC still playing this late in any post season. Tulane hammers Valpo to move into Final Four. The AAC tweeted the all time records broken now: Most Kills. Blocks. Aces. Assist. Not bad for a team playing 4 freshmen. Well done!
Now have to get thru a tough Charleston team to likely play Iowa State for the championship.

I would say UCF will be picked to win it this year but I wouldn’t be surprised if Tulane took it. They had a hell of a run going undefeated in October and finishing with 29 wins. Cinci and Jordan could also win it all with how good she is but she will need a little help in 2019. Will be interesting to see how WIchita St rebounds after losing several to transfer. Same with SMU. Tulsa had a solid year.

Looks like the AAC is moving to a 16-match conference schedule broken up by divisions followed by a 6-team conference tournament the weekend before Thanksgiving. Top 3 teams from each division qualify. The inaugural tournament will be held at UCF. Browsing through schedules, it looks like the divisions (and travel partners) will be as follows:
East Cincinnati/East Carolina Central Florida/South Florida Temple/Connecticut
West SMU/Memphis Tulsa/Wichita State Houston/Tulane
