Of all teams, I think the Huskers would LOVE to play FAMU again to even the score. I'd guess FAMU least wants to play Nebraska than anyone. A revenge driven Husker team can't be fun to face. I was actually wearing my 'smartass cap' when I posted that...sorry if that didn't come through.

I t could very well change, if Washington sweeps both USC and UCLA and NU weeps TAMU then I think they will change. Well at least I think that NU will take over first place. Hawaii just showed how vulerable they are.

Hawaii just showed how vulerable they are. Especially when they play 5 matches in 6 days. As far as the poll goes, who knows? As USU's coach Burt Fuller said, "It's hard to gauge how good Hawaii is. They've been on the road for a while, they didn't practice today, this wasn't their best match. But I can't dispute where Hawaii is ranked because until someone knocks them off, let them be No. 1." Fuller doesn't vote in the poll, but I would imagine that others who do may have the same attitude.

I was just wearing my 'stupidass hat' and decided to post the obvious.

Hawaii just showed how vulerable they are. One would think that at least one team on their schedule would have been able to take advantage of their so called "vulnerability" if that was indeed the case. There is nothing vulnerable about 28 consecutive victories.

Relax, no one is taking that away from them, but when Utah St. takes you to 5 games there is some vulnerability and they have that bullzeye on their back. Heavy load to carry.

I guess I am one of the very few that wouldn't mind having Nebraska in the same region as Hawaii during the play offs.
Personally, I feel any team that is going to take Hawaii lightly, or feel Hawaii is very vulnerable, will have a rude awakening.

The Wahine had just played 3 matches in as many days when Utah St played them. And played without their coach who went home to be at his father's funeral. Take these factors into account. I wonder how Nebraska, Washington, and all others would have done under those conditions. I'm not saying they would have lost, but that they would not be in their top form. No team is superhuman. The Wahine still won and came out a perfect 28-0. Just use your imagination- How would the Wahine have been against the two Utah teams had they been well rested.

And there you have it.
Now Huskers have the target of overall #1 seed and #1 ranked team to deal with.
Oh well. Freshman/Soph mistakes are gonna happen, I doubt a few ranking spots will make much difference.
Hope young Huskers play to a consistent level. Thing I worry the most about is young players don't always play to win, but start playing not to lose in tight, important matches.
