I’m here in Vegas too staying at Main Street! Any recommendations where to eat? And no oxtail soup please. I am Filipino so the first place I went to was chowking 😂. Friday nights is the Seafood buffet downstairs at the Garden Court Restaurant/Buffet. Buffet already closed. Rio has good seafood lobster buffet like $59.99 something la dat.

By the way, love the crowd, game coverage. Hawaii is one of the best venues around. Girls played very well and wow, that libero... Have known how good your setter is as I saw her play in club. Obviously Oregon glad to escape. Good luck to UH this season! You could have afforded another loss lol honestly it would be best for UH if oregon goes on to win the pac 12.

Gaskin mentioned in her post match interview that she chose Hawaii cause she knew Akiu, Burns, and roomed with Granato, while attending, the USA tryouts.

Were the Oregon coaches/players jerks at Hawaii? Just curious why so vengeful. I enjoyed oregon ALOT. They all seemed like very nice players and ulmer is so calm and collected on the side. I will be cheering for oregon in the pac12 this year against any team not named Washington. Oregon is fun to watch . They’re so athletic. I think setting is their Achilles heel

They have some Filipino stuff on their menu. Try the Aloha kitchen too on the 2nd floor above cafe for some local stuff . I think Vegas has max restaurant if u want Filipino fine dining. But we have Max’s too in Hawaii 😅. I meant I am willing to try other cuisines. Last time I was here I went to Wicked Spoon and that buffet at Rio. Any other good buffet places to eat? I don’t mind dropping some $.

Are you trying to make kokyu cry? She was the #8 senior ace but it seems like she might be redshirting this season. I have no confidence in Ulmer, Moore would've started Robinson from the beginning. Hell even c4 would've too. It's definitely puzzling to me. But, as a Stanford fan, I approve. Nuneviller seems like a big improvement for Oregon and your hitters are excellent.

I have faith that Hawaii will upset CP at home. Hawaii always upsets a team every year, a team that belongs in P5 or some team that’s up there in the ranks. Last year was Baylor, two years ago was Arizona, 3y - Florida, and so on.

Hawaii wasn't able to come out with the victory but they gave us a fun, excited, and entertaining match. The positives- Wow Tita Akiu is an AA Caliber defender! She keeps impressing match after match. Girl was digging some bombs. It seems like she was touching almost everything Oregon sent over. I know she frustrated Ulmer Stone, and LVW. Hawaii got more production out of Granato and Gaskin. Their hitting percentage wasn't great but they racked up kills. It was good to see Gaskin hitting with more confidence and more range. Burns and Liva were active again in the middle. Liva gets lost tracking hitters sometimes but she is good offensively. Burns is a good blocker and touches a lot of balls. She doesn't have the kaboom type of kills that Liva can get but she's pretty effective. Iosia had a solid all around game as usual. Castillo really struggled again. It's time to let Castaneda play. Hawai'i could have won if they got even a little more production out of the second OH position. She only had 6 kills through 5 sets, not good enough. Sad to see Hawaii slow down Stone and LVW and still lose. Borup saved the Ducks.
Anyway, Hawaii will win the Big West if they keep up their play on defense and get more production out of the 2nd OH position. Castaneda can be huge for the Bows moving forward. First time I watchdr her take swings in warm ups. She has hops and and a live arm. All the dumbasses touting Cal Poly because they swept an overrated UCLA team need to check themselves. Hawaii hung with Oregon, a much better team than UCLA.
