Stanford will have a top 5 class in 2021. Nebraska probably the best recruiting class they've ever put together. Wisconsin hurting in 21. Texas only had 1 scholarship available Creighton stepping it up. Do you know if Texas is still looking at anyone in this class or if they are just going to hold that schollie for a transfer? I think cap Davis rolls into the 21 scholarship

It won’t show in this but I thought I read somewhere Wisconsin have 1 or 2 coming in from out the country. They have another 6-8 middle coming from Canada, Anna Smrek (not to be confused with Shrek). She was super green from the little tape I saw of her. Not sure how far she's progressed since then. Sheff hoping for another Rettke..... isn't there another 6-7 player waiting in the wings? One can dream I guess lol. Washington also has a Canadian coming in.

Doubt either one is another Rettke, but Sheffield is probably just hoping they're good enough.

bball likes to stir the pot when it comes to Wisconsin. Badgers have a very nice class for 2021. the 2 foreign recruits ooze potential and Jardine has come out of nowhere to become a top 50 recruit 2022 seems to be a mystery right now, but after reaching the finals for the third time, I am sure Sheffield is going to continue to recruit at a very high level.

If you mean hurting in terms of graduation, yes. Recruiting, no.
It will be a very young team for sure. Much like 2017. With various redshirt s, Badgers seem to be operating in perpetual 4 year cycles of experience, 2021 being the next rotation.

Jardine came out of nowhere? Didn’t she commit to Wisconsin as a freshmen? I have a hard time seeing Sheff, or any elite D1 program, committing a scholarship to a player that early that didn’t already show high potential early on.

She committed this past spring so she kind of came out of nowhere. I remember an article where Sheff said he couldn’t believe how much she’s improved.

What’s the Story with Kalissa Greene. She waiting for a transfer next year at a big school so she can slide in?

So, Charitie Luper from the DFW area committed to UCLA in July. Her father, Curtis Luper, was an assistant coach on the TCU football staff. A week or so ago, Curtis was hired to be the Offensive Coordinator at Mizzou. Since Mizzou has a much better volleyball program than TCU, will be interesting to see if anything changes for Charitie . . .

Thinking back on team and performance, Wisconsin's 2014 tournament run was, well, interesting. (They defeated Western Michigan, Illinois State, and Ohio State, before the loss to Penn State.) The 2021 team will be even better than the 2014 version, even though 2014 had Carlini. And dare I say better than the 2017 version, even though they have Rettke, and Hilley who IMO makes them so successful. Sheffield is doing a good plug and play job with his recruits. A builder.

That's proprietary info. Subscriptions to PrepVB are very reasonably priced if you're interested.
