Is this the first time Wahine fans didn't know about an NLI signee before the NLI signing day? I have no idea who the second signee could be. Well, Wahine fans are dumb. nah we smart! ... S-M-R-T !!

My guess is that the second signee is a 6'3" OH from Hungary. The third scholarship will be reserved for a transfer setter. 6’3 Bulgarian.

Reminds me of Amber Kaufmann. Similar mechanics, nice slide, quick arm.

Definitely looks like an explosive athlete that can jump high, block well, and hit hard. I agree that she has similar mechanics as Amber Kaufman. Her slide looks really good, stays on top of the ball versus having to catch up to it. I know this is a highlight video, but that's definitely a sign of athleticism. Amazed by how far this staff is going to find the best players for the program. Another big signee IMO, and our first from Hungary.
We are quite loaded in the middle with Williams, Igiede, Krug, and Westerberg. But like Ah Mow's recent recruits, playing multiple positions seems to be something they are clearly looking for.
Obviously that last scholarship is for a setter. I'm guessing it'll go to a transfer since there's been no talk of a setter coming through yet. We totally need a libero as well IMO.
Another pure six-rotation outside would have been nice tho, but maybe that's for 2020. But looks like we have a lot of depth already with Hellvig, Wagoner and Akana and Westerberg able to play on the pins.

Haha....when someone mentioned Hungarian, I went searching for one and did come across Anna Marie Kiraly and wondered if we got a shot at her.
Would be wonderful if we land her. I think what Robyn might be planning to do for the future is work on Hanna being a better 6 rotation left side hitter instead of moving her to OPP. There are so much possibilities at OPP with Westerberg, Akana, and possibly this girl. We will be kind of thin at OH so it make sense to have Hanna improve her skills at LS. UH recruited Hanna as a 6 rotation player. Much easier for her to become that player then to make Brae, Tiff or this girl into a 6 rotation left side hitter.
The left hitter is supposed to be the so called dominant hitter in the women’s game. They get the bulk of the OOS sets and most of the swings. See Lindsey Ruddin, Khalsa Lanier, Kara Bajema, Lexi Sun, Mac May, etc...

Wait, so Kiraly isn’t for 2020? Her recruiting video says she’d play Fall 2020.
