Haha....when someone mentioned Hungarian, I went searching for one and did come across Anna Marie Kiraly and wondered if we got a shot at her. Would be wonderful if we land her. I think what Robyn might be planning to do for the future is work on Hanna being a better 6 rotation left side hitter instead of moving her to OPP. There are so much possibilities at OPP with Westerberg, Akana, and possibly this girl. We will be kind of thin at OH so it make sense to have Hanna improve her skills at LS. UH recruited Hanna as a 6 rotation player. Much easier for her to become that player then to make Brae, Tiff or this girl into a 6 rotation left side hitter. The left hitter is supposed to be the so called dominant hitter in the women’s game. They get the bulk of the OOS sets and most of the swings. See Lindsey Ruddin, Khalsa Lanier, Kara Bajema, Lexi Sun, Mac May, etc... So Nikki Taylor was not the Wahine's Dominant Hitter, when she played for them, since she was at OPP, instead of Leftside Hitter, very interesting. If Hanna is more comfortable playing OPP. player her there, and go after another Dominant Leftside Hitter to back Jolie, next year. Need someone to back up Jolie, since Jolie has not played a complete collegiate season yet, due to injuries.

However, that poster deleted his/her account at VT abruptly so all promises are dissolved. I don't know if this Kiraly girl is the one referenced.

Kate Lang and Anna Kiraly (if she signs with Hawaii) are great additions for the Wahine. We will be very deep at MB/OPP, we do need to build depth at LS to replace Noreen and Ross. If Riley develops into a solid LS hitter, then we might be okay. I would hate to see a repeat of what happened with our LS hitters this year. If Anna (who appears to a very solid MB) does sign, I see players like Westerberg, Krug, and Akana playing very sparingly with Amber, Sky/Anna, and Hellvig becoming fixtures upfront for possibly the next 3 years.

Looks the part in her video. Has the highest spike reach on her U19 team. She is a “true” freshman so she will have room to grow. She is not one of them 20-22 year old euro coming here. If she can have the same impact as Hanna is having, it would be awesome.

Nicki is probably the ONLY Hawaii OPP that made AA. Most of our AA were left side hitters and MBs. And if Hanna has any dreams of playing big minutes for the Swedes National Team, she is going to have to play left side because she ain’t beating out Isabella Haak.

Rado is playing for the women's team, too? They're going to be good. Rado is a Warrior, not a Wahine. LMFAO, this is too funny

My guess is that the second signee is a 6'3" OH from Hungary. The third scholarship will be reserved for a transfer setter. Hungarian they are recruiting is MB/RS If Kiraly is coming to Hawaii, Skylar better work super hard on her game in the off-season.....

I don't even look at club/HS videos anymore -- not that I studied them extensively before -- because no matter how good they looked back then, all bets are off once they're in college. I won't mention names but some players that looked awesome in those videos don't look all that awesome in the college game. Work in progress.

From last year's class I think Amber Igiede's is one who I think looks waaaaaaaay better than in her videos.
