Are there any Hungarian athletes on any of UH’s sports teams? I would check myself but... To answer your question, it is No.

Would not be shocked if the Wahine take another Summer Tour of Europe in the next 2 or 3 years.

I was just thinking about what would happen if RAM is not able to bring in another setter and my mind flashed to Kanoe Kamanao setting us to the Final Four as a true freshman back in 2003....Not saying Lang is the next KK and KK had the Willoughby/Kahumoku OH hitting tandem which could have been the best outside hitting tandem in the nation that year.....

If Lang can be the next KK, or even close to her, Lang will have a lot more weapons at her disposal then KK did.

I don't know about Anna being a project. If you read the write up on her on Cindy's post, that is not "project" material. She seems to be a winner. Won a lots of tourney MVPS and Player of the year awards. Too earn a spot on the senior national team as a 18-19 year old is an accomplishment. BTW..a little off topic but remember that kid from Coastal Carolina, Anett Nemeth? She was a stud and earned a spot on the Hungarian National team too. She played in Hawaii couple years ago and was very impressive I'm actually surprised that Anna K picked Hawaii over Coastal Carolina. The Coastal Carolina coach is Hungarian and has several Hungarian girls on the team. I think this is a testament to coach Ang's recruiting ability. Now I'm hoping that a stud transfer setter and OH/OPP will jump on board the Hawaii train. Anett Nemeth to Hawaii would make a Final Four team for sure Maybe some girls want to come to America and experience the diversity the country has to offer and not always want to hang around with fellow Hungarians. What a waste to go half way around the world and then speak Hungarian most of the time and live like a Hungarian. Got to try Poke Bowl, Manapua, Chicken Katsu and Minute Chicken Cake Noodle. ;-)

Eh...change is hard for many people. You want to experience new things but mixed in with all the new things, you want to feel grounded with familiar things.

Europe is far from Hawaii vice versa. Hard to adjust and get acclimated to a new environment and culture. Some get homesick. I would bet if some local girls were recruited to play in Europe they’d find out real quick.
