Christmas came early for the Badgers this year. They really did nothing to deserve a seed recently, but the NCAA gave them one anyway. Also, they don't have to face a team that is better than them in the first two rounds, which makes it an especially big gift for them. The Badgers have a great chance to make the Sweet 16; if they don't, it is their own fault. The reason is, again, money. All the teams coming to Madison can bus it, saving the NCAA some money. Also, they want Wisconsin to make it to the Green Bay regional, so the teams won't be playing in front of 178 people. I am glad the Badgers get to host the first two rounds, make no doubt about it, but I think the NCAA's travel guidelines are turning NCAA tournament seedings in a lot of sports into a joke. I don't think this decision is good for the tournament as a whole.

Can anyone defend UCLA, with an RKPI of 29? It seems like the committee went by the RPI in some cases(USC and USD are 8 and 9 in the RKPI, the top 4 RKPI teams are the top 4, though not in the same order) and yet totally ignored it in other cases(Florida #5, but not seeded or hosting), UCLA(#29, yet seeded). There's no rhyme or reason to these selections. It's madness.

Does anyone know why they are playing the subregional in Tallahassee?

Don't leave out UCLA and Missouri being seeded as well. How the hell do those two get seeded? That's just ridiculous. Absolutely atrocious. I agree.

Well, the people who help seed the tournment must have seen the UCLA/USC Match, where the ref did not call a double on USC and UCLA went on to lose. UCLA also took Stanford to 5 games, and really lost the fifth one of that match and did the same against Hawaii. Maybe the committee is hoping UCLA will get their act together and figure out how to win that 5th game. If so--then they have a great chance. But I can't wait to see the LBSU and UCLA game--Hope it happens on SAT--I'll be there,

Does anyone know why they are playing the subregional in Tallahassee? No idea at all. That gym is a freakin dump too, at least it was last time I saw it about a year ago. Gaither Gym is terrible.

If one is comparing the teams that made it to the Dance to the AVCA recent poll - Minnesota the number 4 seed got 5 that was ranked --- the other regional brackets got 6 each. Minnesota also has the easiest route to the final four!!

Hosted by CollegeSports.com no less. There's a poll on the front page (I'm not kidding) with the following: What do think of TheFAMURattlers.com Athletic Site? - Finally, it's about time FAMU had an athletic site.
- It's OK, but it needs work.
- It'll be good, but only if it stays updated.
- It's a good first step.

Same response as on other thread: Washington is not a real #7. Hawaii got a great draw.
Yes, Hawaii should be playing at home for rounds 1 and 2, but it's a great draw.

NO complaint from be but the Wahine got an extremely tough draw. CSU is very very good, I thought they were the best team Nebraska played all year. They have 5 Senior starters & they play very hard. Hawaii got the shaft on this one.

I actually like where Stanford is seeded, other than the fact that there's a bitchin' hard second round match against Florida. You'd like it a lot less if you had any intention of attending! How can they talk about travel restrictions and send Stanford to Tallahassee? Followed (I hope) by a trip to sunny Green Bay? We must have really pissed somebody off!
