Acevedo left Oregon because she was “recruited over” by Ullmer’s staff. I think the verdict is still out on Minnesota’s future. If this is true, I wonder what won her over at Minnesota. She had options but chose a team with ALL the pins where the road to playing time isn’t as direct as it could have been at a different school. That leads me to think her decision was based on something more than just a starting spot. Whatever it is, I’m very happy to have her. Sure, the jury’s still out on what Minnesota’s future looks like but it’s certainly trending in a positive direction. Can Acevedo pass relatively well? If yes, I would like her chances of starting for the Gophers. Last season, all their passes were horrendous.

Has Rayna Christianson been setting or hitting this club season? or both? both she hits outta the middle in some rotations then also right side then sets in the back row because northern lights just loves their 6-2’s lol but she’s a beast at anything i know during her freshman season she played middle for her highschool and led them in hitting % on a team that got 2nd in the state. this year she set in the back row then hit in the front like she does in club also leading them in hitting %

Really curious how adding Acevedo to the roster for the next 4 years changes up our scholarship count for ‘26 and ‘27. The roster was technically already “set” for ‘25 when she committed (we all know that’s probably not the case with the portal), so I’m pretty curious how many we have to offer after ‘25 Wucherer, Hanson, and Crowl will already graduate in ‘26. That should free up 3 scholarships. I think we will have at least 3 to offer for the ‘26 class.

Oh wow. Hadn't even realized Kaelyn was another prospect, much less a setter from MN in the same class! How are her hands? The only videos I've found are of her blocking/digging for some reason. I know Deboer's got a sweet pair of hands and runs a fast offense. Bjorklund possibly more physical, that's not always preferable. I didn't see her name anywhere as attending the camp this week. Anyone? Edit: Aaand I just re-read that she's got great location and speed. So that answers my questions. Unless the "speed" was foot speed and not setting speed ha. yes lol her club team runs a 6’2 with her hitting in the front row because of that Northern Lights Policy where everyone has to play in a set lol but when she’s setting i think her team is better for it. i meant foot speed but she runs a fast offense i especially like her middle and right sides set. purely setting i think her and DeBoer are equals and both run a great offense. I do like Bjorklunds dumping, blocking, defense, and hitting better though as in my opinion she could also be a D1 oppo Idk how much of a prospect Bjorkland is for MN. She wasn’t at the camp and isn’t followed. Tbh, she doesn’t compare to Deboer. Not saying she isn’t a good player but Bjorkland might be taller, but she’s also slow. Anyone that knows anything knows PrepDig is a clickbait publication that shuffles players to gain subscriptions. They’ve been doing it in Minney for years. Gilk and Bettis, Hoecke and Christianson. Deboer plays a year up and has NTDP experience. Not to mention she touches higher than Bjorkland according to their profiles on their club websites. My money is on DeBoer to minney unless she goes to one of the big guys. Looks like the other Minnesota setter they are interested in is Kayla Nawrocki.

She redshirted last year so I didn’t get to watch her play for the Ducks, but I saw her in some spring games and her passing seemed ok. Not amazing and she seemed to get jammed up a bit on deeper serves, but she had some good passes as well.

+ 2028 5’10” S Tatum Kelly from New Wave (how many rising freshman go to prospect camps?!)
+ 2026 6’5” MB Lynney Tarnow from 1st Alliance + 2026 6’5” OH/Opp Sarah Hickman from Houston Juniors
+ many more. Saw one photo of the whole group and there were a few players as tall or taller than 2025 6’5” commit Jordan Taylor but no one is tagged. Sheesh the genes some athletes have. I maxed out at 5’9” the same age!

I also saw a “Sarah” in one of the photos; assumed it was Sarah Hickman, but the name is too common so I didn’t know for sure 😂

I saw something on instagram that VB Adrenaline will be “following along” with MN coaching staff on 6/15. Anyone have any other info on that?
