Makenna Crosson is at the camp too. Can you provide more insight about Crosson? Haven't heard of her. Honestly I don’t know much about her either. I know that she visited the campus last year and is highly rated too- #6 in prep volleyball last year. I don’t know what her ranking is right now. Maybe @ppprprtnr can tell us

Maybe @ppprprtnr can tell us Prep Dig #22 Prep Volleyball #8 To add to this- Transferred from Campolindo HS to Archbishop Mitty Orgininally played club at Norcal now at Vision. Also one might recall her dad stepping down as Cal’s HC in late july last year prompting Chrissy to take over as HC. He had previous coaching stints at several cali schools like Santa Clara, Pacific, Saint Mary’s, Cal Poly. I believe he’s at West Valley College now

When can 2026 recruits give verbals? So, IF Hoecke, for example, already has her mind made up, what's the soonest we would know?

She's very young, but setter Ellery DeBoer from MN looks really good. Maybe a bit undersized (listed as 5'11"...a stretch?). She's plays with Hoecke at Select? If DeBoer chose Minneosota, would only have to sit a year behind Stella. I'm a big fan of keeping the top MN talent at the U.

i think i like kaelyn Bjorklund better for future MN setter. was rated 2nd behind DeBoer but i think just today is now #1. 6’1 so very physical also has a nasty arm and great location and speed. Northern lights girl.

Northern lights girl. Oh wow. Hadn't even realized Kaelyn was another prospect, much less a setter from MN in the same class! How are her hands? The only videos I've found are of her blocking/digging for some reason. I know Deboer's got a sweet pair of hands and runs a fast offense. Bjorklund possibly more physical, that's not always preferable. I didn't see her name anywhere as attending the camp this week. Anyone? Edit: Aaand I just re-read that she's got great location and speed. So that answers my questions. Unless the "speed" was foot speed and not setting speed ha.

Unless the "speed" was foot speed and not setting speed ha. yes lol her club team runs a 6’2 with her hitting in the front row because of that Northern Lights Policy where everyone has to play in a set lol but when she’s setting i think her team is better for it. i meant foot speed but she runs a fast offense i especially like her middle and right sides set. purely setting i think her and DeBoer are equals and both run a great offense. I do like Bjorklunds dumping, blocking, defense, and hitting better though as in my opinion she could also be a D1 oppo

Just now noticing that the main gopher volleyball Instagram account follows quite a few ‘26s and ‘27s. I don’t remember that being a thing during the Hugh era and that being why Coach Kelsay’s follows have been mentioned more when trying to sleuth out recruits. .
Bjorklund isn’t followed. Looks like she plays AAU basketball. Is she wanting to be a dual sport D1 athlete? Narrows her options maybe?
In addition to 2027 DeBoer, gophers follow 2026 setters Rayna Christianson (Northern Lights) and Genevieve Harris (same NC club as Arica Davis and Laney Choboy). Probably some others—I didn’t bother looking through every profile. Might the Gophers go after both a 2026 and 2027 setter? A lot of fans mention DeBoer but it appears as though 2026 setters are on the radar as well.

Really curious how adding Acevedo to the roster for the next 4 years changes up our scholarship count for ‘26 and ‘27. The roster was technically already “set” for ‘25 when she committed (we all know that’s probably not the case with the portal), so I’m pretty curious how many we have to offer after ‘25
