just an FYI for those of you who didn't know. Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas and Georgia all made the big dance. Would of liked to see Alabama make it too but oh well.

Bama was 0-6 against those 4 teams(0-2 against UGA and Arkansas each), as well as losing to Pitt that's why they didn't get in. I'm sure they were one of the last teams left out. In fact, it may have come down to them and Pitt, who I'm surprised did get in.

Hurray for the SEC the country is finally giving our tough conference some credit! I'm so thrilled to see Georgia getting in, they definetly deserved it. Go Bulldogs, good luck with G Tech! With any luck, the SEC will keep getting more than 2 teams in the NCAA's for years to come.

GatorVBall---you got your wish, unless of course you are going to make the 2 hour trip up north. I can not tell what ranking they ended up dropping the Gators to.
Regardless we are in for a fight. We will be playing against a Florida A@M team with talent, height, experience and who is at home knowing they are ranked ahead of the Gators, and knowing that many unranked teams have beaten us up the first game.
We lack experience winning at this level this year and as we have known all along an experienced team that can serve can beat us.

I'm not surprised Florida is on the road, but to be unseeded and playing in that tough bracket, that's a little ridiculous. They haven't fallen THAT far. I mean, bullsh!t. I fully expect FAMU to win. I don't think they are the underdog at all. They are experienced, talented and playing at home. Plus, they know how to win and have the leadership to do so. They won't be intimidated at all. They won in the Coliseum, nuff said. If we are going by the seeding, then that means either FAMU or Florida is 22nd overall, while the other would be 43(with Stanford being the 11 seed, they would hypothetically match up with the 22nd overall seed, assuming the 2 higher seeds advanced). Sorry, but there's no way in hell that Florida is 22 or 43. If Florida is 22, then that would mean FAMU is 43 and that's just not right. Not at all. It's an even bigger crock of crap if it's reversed. It's total bullcrap and there is no way the committee can justify this mini bracket. Florida, FAMU and Stanford all got the big shaft right up the wazoo.

"It's equally disappointing and surprising that we are not hosting after being 27-4 with three of our four losses to teams in the top 10(the 4th loss came to #11 Texas)," Florida coach Mary Wise said. "Now we'll go forward and look toward playing Florida A&M. It was no surprise that we're going to play Florida A&M, but playing in Tallahassee is a surprise."
"We played Florida A&M during the spring," Wise said. "They're a veteran team and an international team. They're a tough matchup for us because of what they do."

I'm going to copy this post in case it's needed elsewhere, but:
Only the top 16 teams are seeded. 17-64 are NOT seeded. Thank you.

Wow!
Does that mean that Florida is not 12 or 13 but over 16?
I understand some slide after getting pushed by Towson and Georgia, but dropping out of the top 16.
Where is the respect for Mary, she has earned it over the last 13 years.??

No, in the PowerPoint, they specifically say that history has nothing to do with their current rankings or non-rankings, so respect has nothing to do with it.

The SEC deserves the addtional bids. I'm happy for the SEC. Still think both Florida and Stanford got screwed too. The NCAA is protecting a couple of teams at everybody else's expense. The Florida's subregional is as much a crime as sending Hawai'i to Fort Collins.

Florida fans should be pissed amazingly as well. As should Stanford fans! But no matter what these ladies try to say, I will not sympathize and befriend Florida because of their similar fate.
