Okay....any predictions on who will make it to the Final Four? My predictions are Nebraska, Washington, Minnesota and Stanford/Texas. Nebraska will probably meet USC in the regional final. Although USC has a great team, they've been up and down all year. Nebraska in 4. Washington vs Penn St has the makings of a great regional final. This will go down to the wire. Washington wins because of home court. Minnesota will either play Ohio St. or Texas A&M. That match is a toss up. If Texas A&M has their AA middle back and healthy, I think they can pull the upset win over ohio st. If Ohio St. reaches the regional final, I don't think Stacey Gordon alone can carry them to a victory against Minnesota. Minnesota in 4. The Green Bay region is really difficult to predict. If Stanford can get by Florida in the 2nd round they will face a tough opponent in the regional semi against Texas. I think Stanford or Texas matches up well against Hawaii in the regional final. Hawaii will have two tough matches heading into the regional final. They'll go the distance against Colorado St and Wisconsin.

My predictions: USC (crossing my fingers that the right team shows up all the way); Minnesota (will be tough on home court); Stanford (a dangerous team right now); Penn State (I think UW's play has been up and down as of late).

Only if Hawai'i can get by CSU. From what I have been reading CSU is the most dangerous team in the country.

My predictions are...
Nebraska - they just don't make mistakes that would cause them to lose in an early round.
Ohio State - Gordon will carry the team into the final four but will meet her match in Nebraska's block.
Penn State - They have momentum and a lack of controversy leading into the tournament...with Tortorello, tournament matches will be just like regular season matches
Stanford - They are the hottest team right now with major wins in the second half of the season. The volleyball Gods will help Ogonna to match her mentors achievement with 3 final fours in four years.

Only if Hawai'i can get by CSU. From what I have been reading CSU is the most dangerous team in the country. What are you reading that shows CSU is the most dangerous team in the country? I'd like to read it too. I've watched them play twice this year. Early on at home in the NACWAA and it was clear to me that they were not nearly as good a team as USC or Minnesota. Then in November in Lincoln against Nebraska who won in a relatively easy three games (24,21,25) Again even with Nebraska's HCA, CSU didn't look to be on the same level as the Huskers. So, on any given day will they be able to beat a top 10 team - maybe - they'll have to be playing at the top of their game and the other team will probably have to be off a bit. But if someone is telling you they are the most dangerous team in the country right now and you believe them, then I got a great deal on an investment I'd like to talk to you about.

What are you reading that shows CSU is the most dangerous team in the country? I'd like to read it too. My guess is that the comment regarding CSU being the most dangerous team in the country is from reading of UH fan reactions to being sent on the road to play at CSU.

I'm guessing that ugopher had his tongue planted firmly in his cheek when he wrote the post that you reference. I took it as a subtle dig at the Hawaii fans who have been foaming at the mouth since the tournament bracket was released yesterday afternoon.

Darn, I thought I made and good case against it.

Colorado State will beat Hawaii. They are playing as well as any team in the nation right now. I watched their match with Utah in the conference finals and they were flawless. I think CSU can make a run at the Final Four.

I think CSU can make a run at the Final Four. Key word in your post: Utah. CSU can't play defense with elite teams. If Hawaii is truly elite--i.e., top 8--they will win. They will only lose if they are not better than CSU. If they are not better than CSU, then why all the fuss? Thank you.
