Hearing that it may be both ACs. That sounds like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. We're long past the stage where shuffling or blaming Assistants can serve as a proxy to shield him from responsibility.

Which is really the crux of the problem. The entire landscape is NOT equal, because of the power five conference bias. And even though the damage has been done to former top ten schools such as former Champs LBSU, Pacific, Hawai’i, the future could reverse it by finding a more level system that would spread the wealth around, both in resources and talent. Bias? You mean the kids who want to go to schools with the most name recognition, the schools that really sell their academics and who also just happen to have high quality athletics programs? Here in Wisconsin HS seniors who are serious about academics are not looking at LaCrosse, UW-Stout or UW-Green Bay first, they are looking at Madison who happens to be in a P5 conference. LBSU and Pacific are fine colleges but they do not have the same name recognition as USC, UCLA, Stanford. Sure play that card. AS if you say UC Davis or Cal Poly or Pacific and even Hawai'i doesn't have many world-renowned programs that are as good or better than some of the Pac-12 schools. There's always that bias. It's about the way the NCAA placates to the power conferences that only those schools are worthy of anything. When Hawai'i in 2015 beat, Texas A&M, the announcers was so surprised that Hawai'i beat A&M. And when they beat Penn St., the announcers played it off as a weak Penn St. team. I'm saying give everybody the same kind of money and in no time you would have the likes of a Mid-Major taking the crown. As it is, it's ten times as hard for a Mid-Major to make it out of a regional.

It seems weird that these assistants were foisted on Sealy. They should figure out who is responsible for hiring them and fire him or her as well.

Well, really they don't. Sorry, but it's true. UC Davis is the champ at ag science and viticulture, but they aren't UCLA. And you say "USC, UCLA, and Stanford" as if those three schools are all on the same tier. They are actually on three different tiers (in ascending order).

I looked up the UCLA coaching staff and I can't figure out which one is the "fattest one." One of them is pregnant.

Kaitlin did an excellent job and UCLA has been bringing in high ranking classes the past few years. They just haven't developed the kids at all.

But, 2018 was not real good. 2019 is terrible. And, 2020 is not looking good.

Fat-shaming, if that is indeed what he does, is terrible but I personally wouldn't mind if others tried to shame me for being overweight. I would be so enraged and angry that I would be motivated to lose weight, eat right, and beef up. Rage and anger are great motivators. Besides, people should stay slim, if biologically possible, for health reasons. I generally agree with this, although there is a lot of anecdotal evidence, at least, to suggest that not everyone reacts with motivation. I think it's obvious that being fitter, stronger, healthier is better for maximum performance, and it's a coach's job to try to maximize performance. I know of coaches who would conduct the athlete's weekly weigh-ins in front of the entire team to emphasize accountability. I'm sure there's a point somewhere between shaming and ignoring that leads to motivation.

She does the recruiting so this group of players, especially the setters, falls at her feet.
