Well since I didnt see that a few pages ago....here is a tad of info.... A MB/OH from a top 5 B1G Team. A DS from a top half of the SEC And an ACC OH from a program struggling Those are the three I know of. Not sure if the last one has officially entered portal but has made known their intentions. "A MB/OH from a top 5 BIG TEAM" If it was a top 4 team NEB, WIS, MN, PSU a person would just say top 4. MY detective skills lead me to believe Purdue is the team. Believe the Big 10 player is going to Duke. If she’s any good at all, she’ll be their best player which isn’t saying much.

If it’s grace Cleveland I’m gonna cry There's no way. Why would she leave? She has a guaranteed starter position for the rest of her time at Purdue, whether at OPP or MB or OH. Plus, while Purdue is a top 5 B1G team now, the original post was before Purdue secured the win at Michigan. They haven't been above Top 6 in a few years. Let the speculation continue but I highly doubt it's a Purdue player, especially since none of the Boilermakers are listed as a MB/OH. Cleveland played middle in high school but the OP hasn't specified that this proposed B1G transfer's playing position is based on their high school performance.

I’m assuming Davis is transferring. She’ll be a good pick up wherever she lands Assuming the same, there’s really no reason why a player like her should waste her time at Nebraska.

Assuming the same, there’s really no reason why a player like her should waste her time at Nebraska. Waste her time? I figure, If she’s good enough to start but is 4th on a pin depth because of whatever reason, why bother doing it again ? Not anything against Nebraska, she’ll develop as an athlete if she stays for sure. Kubik/Sun are really good players, especially defensively. I think the improvement she made from her first to second year shows her ceiling is high, maybe slower in some areas but she might just be that player that develops best when they know they are the “go-to”. There are plenty of transfers that come into their own only when they make the change.

People talk like the only reason to be on a team is so they can get what is best for them. Isn’t that the oppoaite of what a team is about? I’m not against a player transferring if they are unhappy, but the idea that there are “no reasons” to stay if you aren’t playing is, well, disappointing.

Infact I think Baylor would be a good destination for those top players planning on transferring. Pressley will be senior next season. Lockin, Mcghee, lefty Dutch will all be back..

That may be fine for walk on players who will likely never see much court time, or players recruited specifically for “extra depth” but if you’re one of the top Outside Hitter Recruits in the nation coming out of High School you’re going to have more expectations of yourself than waiting until your senior year to POSSIBLY be a full time starter. No matter what it’s going to be an issue, and unless she enjoys the school atmosphere more than she enjoys playing the game she’s been dedicating her time and effort to the majority of her life, there is no reason to stay. Nebraska will be just fine without her. I’m sure she will excel at anywhere she goes if given the chance.

Gibby back up QB’s transfer for playing time and no one faults them, why shouldn’t a VB player transfer for playing time too? It’s hard especially at some of these big schools, to never get to play when you were a stud in HS. Not everyone can be a role player and be ok with it.
