I agree Allison is not going to Penn State( could she handle Russ as a coach) . She has a lot to prove with her next team her setting at Auburn wasn't that great, don't think she was even the best freshman setter in the SEC this year. This. The players surrounding Allison weren’t THAT bad. If the assumption on here is that she’s a gem that will lead a Big Ten team to the final four, I really struggle to see that when she couldn’t lead her Auburn team to a .500 record in the SEC. She was 5-13 in a conference that wasn’t very strong and want to throw her in BIG. Good luck.

Illinois has two setters on their roster, scholarship Diana Brown who is redshirting her freshman season, and (I assume non-scholarship) soph. Kylie Bruder. Brown was recruited by the previous UI coach Kevin Hambly and verballed to Illinois when she was a freshman or sophomore in high school. Bruder also made her decision to attend Illinois when she thought Hambly would be the coach. They both lucked out when Hambly left for Stanford, and they inherited a head coach, Chris Tamas, who was a setter for the U.S. Men's National Team. If Mica Allison believes in her own abilities, and wants to be the best setter she can be, and be tutored by one of the best collegiate coaches in the country (not withstanding his own playing history as a top level setter), she will choose to join the Illini family If Mica has any questions about being coached by or setting for Coach Chris Tamas, she should contact Jordyn Poulter!

Penn State’s backup setter was the #28 senior ace of 2018. Is that not public knowledge? Felt like half of the Penn State fans here think Blossom should have been starting this year! I would not be surprised if Penn State runs a 6-2 next year.

Andrea Mitrovic (JR OH) Buffalo to Arizona State - good get for ASU. Andrea is a ridiculous hitter, so underrated...can’t wait to see her shine on a bigger stage.

Slow down and stop using that word so recklessly She had a good serve but was average setter at best. Best hands in the country? Rotfl. I’m a psu fan and have no idea how to respond to that cause it’s so far out there. Maybe mr Tom clen has a meme that can describe how far out there that statement really is.

Slow down and stop using that word so recklessly She had a good serve but was average setter at best. She was very consistent and rarely misconnected. 4 year starter of a successful program. Pretty decent blocker. She was very consistent. The match blossom set this year it was clear Weiskircher was the better choice.

What I’m saying is she was far from great. Poulter was great. SSD was great. She was no where near that. She made more bad decisions throughout career then someone considered great makes. She didn’t have a hammer this year like a Plummer I’ll give her that but through here whole career she would have success with middles and just stop using them it made no sense. Last year especially. She had one of the best players in the game last year as her middle who most nights was untouchable and wouldn’t feed her. You see what Stanford did lother night? They fed their best when they had to. That’s what your suppose to do. If she was great they would have never brought in deterring and run a 6-2. Great setter don’t need another in floor with them. And rarley misconnected. What psu team were U watching

Weiskircher was a better setter than deterring and that is shown through stats and side out percentage and scoring runs of when each is in. Deterring was in because of blocking a because of 6 really good servers. Not because Weiskircher wasn’t doing her job.

I’m not saying she was terrible but to throw around word great is greatly overstated. She was not great she was a average. Hancock was great carlini was great sss is great Poulter is great can prob throw hunter in their also and there’s more. Are u telling me Weiskircher was at their level cause if u are I’m gonna have to ask u to retire from boards please. Lol. I’ve been rough on her cause I’ve compared her to psu last two setters Hancock and Glass which prob isn’t fair but if I’m looking at it though non fan eyes she’s average.

I see those other setters as more than great. Clearly we just use the words differently. Those setters are legends. They are amazing. I would call the great setters currently as hames, Weiskircher, Hilley, lathro, Rivera. First team all Americans are more than great.

Is Weiskircher transferring? Otherwise, relevance for this thread?
