I was searching old threads and I came across several mentions of Laura. I couldn't place it. I don't remember a Laura. Was it one of the commits who changed their mind? Then I had the ahh ha moment. Will someone, or even me, read this thread and wonder if only for a minute, who is Donna?

This comment is not meant to shade Barnes at all because she is a phenomenal player and the badgers success depends partially on her... but remember when there were a lot of Clark haters or thought she wouldn’t hold the jersey? Curious on thoughts people have about her performance this season despite some of the comments she’s received

I think the complaints about Clark always surrounded her passing and 2nd ball abilities. Her 2nd balls were never really strengths, but she is a ton better at that this year. Also helps that Izzy is occasionally there to step in as well. Her first few years in the program I thought she was way too streaky with her passing. Again, that is another skill that she has really improved in her time in Madison. Teams still target her a lot, though. Wasn't it Nebraska who went hard at her the whole match last week?
Certainly in frustration during the nonconference this year had me yearning for a change of any kind, and I thought Barnes at libero was one of the easier ones to try. But, Clark is having a fantastic year. It's good that Sheffield is the coach and not Vader.

I keep forgetting about Jardine. I was out of town when that bingo came.

GOOD NEWS: 2019 BIG TEN CHAMPIONS BAD NEWS: Everyone sounds sick as a dog post match. Welp. Looking glass half full, sure didn't seem at 4-4 the Badgers had any shot at title. So to go 5-1 against the Big Three and at least a share is a big bounceback. As well as the double sweep of Nebraska! And dropping only a set to MN. And winning more sets than PSU (I know that's a little bit of a stretch). I'm not surprised about illnesses. It's not like the sideline waterbottles are labeled per player...one sick, the rest will be sick. Now get better!

Sheffield post match
"Going 5-1 against the Top 3 teams with 3 sweeps of those teams, going 6-1 on road in middle of BIG, it was a well earned BIG TEN TITLE!"
