Sokolowski has proved for 2 seasons she is not capable on the left. She is good on the right but when on the left it is repititive hitting errors and no range. Mary wide was a fool for putting her in the front 2 years ago. Who would you have put there instead? Hammons had opportunities when Sokolowski struggled and wasn't any more productive (to be fair she came in hampered by shoulder issues, which might have played a role in limited time). Greer was the other option.

I think Texas will be stronger if they can sort out their setting. Texas needs to sort out its coaching.

I believe Mary thought moving Soko to the left was the next best option she had. Hammons should’ve stayed in, she ,ay not have scored but she didn’t hit negative in mulititle matches.

Hence the reason why Wise went out and got Caesar, maybe? Maybe Wise felt like she had to give both Soko and Greer their chances/opportunities?

Do you all think hammons will hold her spot as a 6 rotation player neck to year? I hope so. I just don't think a player (Ceasar) who made 1st team All-SEC, and All Region as a freshman in 2017 is going to transfer to a program where she will not be on the court. Hall is clearly going to be playing OH as long as she is healthy, and IMO Ceasar will be the other OH to start the 2019 season. Do you think Florida made this commitment to Ceasar? I don't know, but seems odd to make this commitment.
Looking from the outside - I would think when healthy, Hammons would get the bulk of playing time. Hammons seems like the ideal OH opposite of Hall - assuming she is the better (than Ceasar) passer. From the stats, she looks to be the better server and slightly better blocker. Her hitting % is higher - but this is most likely because of the fewer attempts. Something in the ~ .250 hitting range should be what Florida is looking for given all the other contributions Hammons makes.

Hammons hitting percentage the second half of the season remained at a high mark when she was getting the majority of the sets as well.

Ceasar ain't riding the bench. Personally, I think Hammons is better suited in a DS role ala Annika Albrecht, but in the front row, Ceasar is unmatched.

I don’t think she’s unmatched..... considering she wasn’t on the first 3 all American team in which about 10 outsides were on. Was she an honorable mention? I would also say hall is better than her for sure.

But I do not think she will take Hammons spot either. No disrespect to anyone but I do not see Caesar coming in and taking anyone's spot. But what do I know.

What Mary does with the right side hitters is what I'm interested in because I don't think Soko will play left anymore with the addition of Ceasar. I would much rather see Haley Warner than Soko worked in on the right side when Carlton rotates back — assuming a second right-sider will be subbed in. Warner is the future, so start getting her the experience.

I would hope coaches would not make a commitment to hand a starting role to a potential transfer to secure that player, but I do know it has happened before at other top 25 programs where there was a clear void at a position due to graduation or injury and the player transferring in knew she would be the starter. How many high profile players do you know that were the top player for their current P5 team and then transferred to another P5 program and ended up not being a starter (excluding any injury issues)? When a player of Ceasar's caliber transfers she does not choose a team that she is not confident of her role or court time. She could have gone to a number of top 25 teams and been a starter so she must have felt pretty comfortable with what her role is going to be at Florida after meeting with the coaches.

If memory serves, she was off the Georgia roster by mid-October, so she wouldn't have been able put up the numbers needed for AA.

I want to ask the million dollar question, is Caesar a top player on any top team in the BIG or in the PAC? Being the top player on a tier 2-3 team in the SEC is not the same. I want to hear others opinions?

Sun and foe me are both better. And leash and reed are both better. I would take Plummer and McClure and Lanier and Botkin over her as well

I want to hear others opinions? I don't know if she would be the top player on a top Big or PAC team, but on a couple of top Big and PAC teams she would be a top 3 player and elevate those teams if there were no chemistry issues (EX. - Wisconsin - Rettke is going to be the top player the next two years, but Ceasar would start as an OH and be their best offensive pin and a top 3 player at Wisconsin if she looked at opportunities in B1G). I don't know if she is a building block or a complimentary piece for a top program because she obviously did not help set a positive culture at Georgia so she might be better as a player if she is on a team that already has a strong culture and leaders where she can just be a teammate and not expected to be the leader.
