Tenn dropped first 2 to Illinois, but not back in as they won the 3rd. Trading points now in the 4th.

Tough loss for the Lady Vols, but may be good for them in the long run.

Impressed with Tennessee. Fun match to watch. I agree. A little compromised with Grubbs' knee giving her trouble, which kept her out of back row much of the match. She toughed it out really well. Good match.

Arkansas needed 5 to beat Montana State. Hogs were clearly the better team, but some fatigue, inexperience, and lineup juggling made things much more interesting. Fr OH Jill Gillen was named MVP of the tournament. Very well deserved, imho. Wondering did Arkansas run a 5-1 or 6-2? Wasn’t able to see any of their matches.

They ran a 6-2 in all three matches. Not sure they will stay with that as the season goes, but that is how they came out this weekend.

Loved watching Tenn today. I think they’re my new fav SEC team.

LSU starts off 2-1 for the year. Had one get away from them but with all the new players in the mix it’s going to be expected early in season. Overall a lot of promise. Ran a 5/1 with Rose most of weekend and excited of things to come. Never gets old watching a 5’5” player blocking a 6’3” kid! My early prediction is Rose/Hill will be All-SEC freshman. Hill is a true 6 rotation player. Defensively they are already ahead of last year. Tough weekend ahead with Penn State and Iowa State but it’s what they need to sharpen their game for a difficult conference schedule. This team won’t disappoint this year!

Thoughts after this weekend? I’m disappointed to see Tennessee fall in the poll. Pushing a top 5 team to five sets twice, and at their place, doesn’t warrant a fall in the poll for me. I also think Kentucky is still absolutely a top 10 team but when you’re swept by an unranked team you’re bound to fall.
Wish Miami would’ve had a stream or at least live stats for the Mizzou game, but oh well. Also would’ve liked to watch LSU. Does anyone know if they had Bannister at the right or left?

Bannister played mostly on the right. Mukes/Hill were Left side.

I know Flory was trying to get her on the court for 6 rotations last year for potential back row attck.

Beginning of tournament she was 6 rotations. By end Hill was the six rotation player.
