Alabama swept Marist and Buffalo. (first time since 1998 back to back sweeps to start the season). Went to 5 with Colgate. Good weekend for 'Bama. Good weekend for 'Bama? Three very easy matches, and they struggled at times with all three opponents. Going to be a very long season for the Tide.

Going to be a very long season for the state of Alabama in the SEC! Unfortunately, I'm going to have to agree with you.

BAMA has a gem in Wells. I think they will end up in top half of the conference this year and surprise a few people.

Wells is good...unfortunately they only have one kid who can pass at all. The only surprise will be how few SEC matches they win.

Arkansas goes out to San Diego and drops the first match vs WVU, -17, -20, -22. Could only follow on live stats, but it looked like the Hogs couldn’t get out of their own way. Lots of errors, lots of runs of points, both for and against. Tough deal to have to rely on two FR OH’s making their first college road trip to the west coast, I suppose. On the upside, the blocking seemed to be a bit better, but I don’t think WVU is a big step up in competition from what Arkansas last weekend (no offense to the Mountaineers intended).

Mississippi State goes on to beat UNO in 4 sets. (18-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-19). UNO cheered SEC whenever State served. Nice morale victory for SEC and nice fight for the Lady Dogs. Injuries and illness plaguing us but they have a fight in them that is nice to see.

Mizzou does it again beating host Dayton in four, 25-22, 17-25, 25-16, 25-10. Great day for the Tigers! Fought through some adversity.
