Guess the Stanford, Kentucky, Louisville tourney won't be happening this year, at least that's the way it sounds according to that article. Stanford fans are still hearing rumors of playing Nebraska in non con this upcoming year. Would love to see Nebraska and Stanford play in the non-con in 2019. Maybe a home-and-home like Stanford had with Texas last year (without the Stanford sweep, of course...)?

I'd love it if Cook named Lexi Sun a captain. What better way for her to avoid those spells where it looks like she gets down on herself than if she is a team captain. It will force her to lead by example and show the younger players how to work their way out of a tough spell. I think she's got it in her. I'm gonna guess it'll be Stivrins and Hames. Stivrins is a lock IMO.

I don't have any inside knowledge and certainly there are many variables that could have (or potentially could) change, but Cook said more than once last year that Stivrins and Sun would be the captains. I can also certainly see Hames being one too though.

So exciting that Kubik and Knuckles are already on campus and training with the team. It's cool that Miller and Knuckles already know each other from club. That should be a fun competition, no matter who wins at libero. I also hope that can create a good chemistry between our libero and our DS('s).
It will be interesting to see how much time Davis will see on the court next year. Kubik is the favorite at OH (top 5 recruit with international experience), IMO, but Capri isn't far behind with a full season already under her belt. I hope they can push each other to new levels.

I'd love to see Hames as a captain next year. She's a strong emotional leader, she's everywhere on the court, and she knows the game.
I wouldn't be opposed to Sun being a captain. I love her positivity and how she's always smiling. I'd wait to make Sun a captain, though.

I want her to be happy, too, but I want her to be happy with a championship ring. I don't want to put too much pressure on Sun after last season. I think she might play better as a role player next year. She already provides great leadership, the way it is.

Lexi Sun is going to have to learn to deal with the pressure of being Nebraska's top offensive option next year because that's what she's going to be. She'll have to embrace it just like Foecke or Quade or Plummer or Jones-Perry did. The great ones relish that, and if she wants to be great, then she will too. No training wheels next season.

Speaking of Quade, anyone else think Sun could benefit from having sets like Quade? IMO she's definitely quick enough.

Why do people obsess over Lexi Sun? It’s either overly critical of her, or coming up with excuse after excuse on why she’s not playing better. She was an honorable AA her freshman year and not even that her sophomore year. Damn just let her play without these unproven grandiose expectations of her, or overly critical analysis that would not be given to any other athlete.

If Hames can get Sun the looks that Poulter got Quade, I can definitely see this.
