Many of ya might not be old enough to remember her: Robyn Lewis, Stanford (1997-2001). Second All-Time in assists/ set; 7th All-time in total A's. Played an INCREDIBLY important role in SU's 2001 Championship over CSULB -- on knees that she winced Every Time she WALKED: let alone ran or jumped! What A WARRIOR. NEVER complained, played Great D, good serve, a dig-machine. Rocked!

Wisconsin had a pretty good setter that didn't get nearly the recognition she deserved. Name was Carlyle or Carleen or something like that.

Alex Reid for CSU (only her senior year, previous three at Long Beach). Solid 6-rotation and all-around player. Was really the reason that CSU was able to run a 6-2 with Adrianna Culbert as a setter and RS, as Culbert was the only 6-rotation player on the roster before.

Lauren Carlini. She's never received the adulation that is her due. Classy PSU fans.

Isn't this the first year Foecke was first team AA after dragging her team to 2 NC? I would say she was very underrated by snobville.

I could have seen her there last year, but there wasn't anyone undeserving on last years first team. Maybe in place of Anae? But the years before, she was always good, but never had to carry her team like she did this year because she had the rolfzens, etc to back her up. I still think shes one of the best of this decade, but that has to do with more for her potential, and her INNATE leadership qualities. Those cant be taught and she has it more than any athlete I have seen in a long time.

It's funny, because she's currently being heralded as one of, if not THE greatest, Husker of all time by many on and off this forum, and it's Husker fans who keep bringing up her AA honors, in a way doing more "underrating" than anyone else.

WHY THE DONUT DUNKY? before the championship game not many were talking about that were they? She has always been underrated when it comes to POY, and AA status and...she has played in the toughest conference in the country. People wouldn't even consider her in the discussion for POY until after the NC when she cleaned house. DUH!!!
